Re: McMahon

Southend always sail close to the wind. I can see an appointment until the end of the season incoming - we're a few wins away from confirming National League status. I can see someone like Hakan Hayrettin (out of work) who was with John Still at Maidstone. If Southend aren't paying their staff again...

Re: Please post solicitudes about Yeovil Town (A) here during and post-fixture. And pre-fixture as well this time.

I wonder whether this will be the straw that breaks the camels back?! From what I've been hearing, there's some movement coming at the club and for some, their time is very much borrowed. The start of this season has been nothing short of shambolic. Last week's extremely lucky win papered over the c...

Re: Maidenhead United (H) in-game and post-game complaints here please

That was a bang average performance and a game that frankly we were b*****d lucky to win. Goal aside, we had two or three good chances to really put them to bed and fluffed them. They on the other hand were denied by a very good goalkeeping display (by way of the big saves) and the head of McCallum ...

Re: Gateshead (H) in-game and post game thoughts

This club really is going nowhere with Dithering Daryl. The formation doesn't work - but instead of finding the players to then play the system, he continues to shoe horn players into positions that aren't seeing them at their best. It'll never work - its his job to lead the coaching team to find th...

Re: Predictions for Gateshead (H)

I'm going to go with

Daggers 2 - 1 Gateshead

Still not convinced that we've ironed out the defensive problems from set pieces quite enough, so they'll probably score.

Robinson 1st goalscorer

Re: Sagaf

I wonder whether the rumours about Southend being in for him have caused a few problems between him and the manager?! A few Southend fans I know were very keen on the news and were in touch asking whether we knew if there was any truth in it. I think he's a good addition to the team whenever he play...

Re: Halifax (H) Thread

That was a terrible game from start to finish. Admittedly the first goal seemed to come out of the blue and seemed a decent strike from where I was sitting in The Carling, but the second and third were great examples of why this club will never find itself any bigger than what it is at the moment. T...

Re: Wealdstone

A flat, uninspired game there. It was good to get the draw, but the first goal was sloppy. Their second was against the run of play. It's been a busy week this week, so they can be forgiven for being a bit leggy. My problem with today was McMahon. Why wasn't there further changes? The last ten minut...

Re: Match Ratings: Daggers V Wrexham

I was quite surprised by Wrexham - didn't play anything like a team needing a win to guarantee a play off spot. They looked completely off the pace. However, the constant moving the ball around our own area would have seen us chasing the game if the opposition could have made more of it. Our ditheri...

Re: Taylor out !!

Agreed - it's time to act. A4 and protests against Taylor AND Thompson for the Torquay game - 100% This shit cannot be allowed to continue. I think the time has come for that. The only other way to really get the attention of the board is to not spend anything at the ground for a game or two. That ...

Re: Awful

I'm glad I never wasted the time nor effort nor money on this. At a couple of minutes to one today, I looked out and saw it hacking down out there. In previous years, missing a boxing day game would have felt terrible - but today I felt nothing. I was surprised to see 1400 as a crowd today. Good on ...

Re: Rhys Murphy

He was constantly gobbing off today - the referee didn't seem to have much about him when telling him to go away. I thought Quigley should have been MOTM today, he's come under some fire and hopefully that brace will give him some confidence to go on a bit of a run. Justham's saves were brilliant, b...

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

I wonder if it's worth a punt going in for Darren Bent for a season?

Available on a free, said on Talksport that he'd be happy to speak to teams in the lower leagues and despite not playing much for a couple of years has quite a bit of natural talent.

Agreed.

But I unofficially it should be named after Arnu seeing as it's the only thing that's kept him going all these years

Re: John Still

I think that on the face of it; all of this serves to make him a bit of a caricature. The big retirement, that hasn't actually turned into anything like a retirement was all very unnecessary and does little else than make him look a bit daft. You often hear about how some players almost instantly mi...
