Re: Bye Trinity
I'll try again. I understand that a contributary factor to their withdrawal were the insults and abuse heaped on them via social media and to a lesser extent on this site by the usual suspects - all for having the temerity to invest millions of pounds into the club. It is why they decided not to res...

Re: Bye Trinity
I posted a very considered reply on here referring to the impact abuse on social media has had on the owner's decision to depart. It hasn't been posted. Why?

Re: NL: Aldershot Town (A) 30 September 2023
Our luck must change soon. We have had absolutely none. We had a cast iron penalty in the week not given and a very dubious one given against us today. we've had our main attacking threat collapse on the pitch and a series of injuries - some might have been expected- but others' like Eastman's simpl...

Re: Loan Market
None of these is a striker. Good to see the numbers swelled but surely we still need somebody to put the ball in the net on a regular basis!

Re: What are Ben's options here?
Teams with wholesale changes do need time to gel and I am convinced that Ben is a good manager - indeed an upgrade on the last two -but he has inherited a mess with players on contracts he probably wouldn't have wanted to keep - certainly Mussa and probably Weston and Johnson too. My problem though ...

Re: NL: Gateshead (H) 15 August 2023
My heart always sinks when I hear annually at pre season forums that managers( and I heard Burnet, Taylor and now Ben all say this) that they only want a tight and hungry squad of 18 players. And every year after half a dozen games - even less this year- we are reduced to struggling to field a team....

Re: NL: Gateshead (H) 15 August 2023
It was my understanding that it was Effiong who was ill all week rather than Ibie but insisted on playing anyway. Let's hope he has recovered by tomorrow or the cupboard would be bare indeed.

Re: Dreadfull.
A very sobering performance. Our experienced and much vaunted new midfield were jaw droppingly bad. I doubt whether there could ever have been a worse home debut than that provided by Vincent with Rees and Hessenthaler not far behind although the boy Lawless at lest showed some energy and determinat...

Re: The Released Players Thread
Walsall have released Wilkinson and Labadie. Yes to the first if we can afford him. Probably not to the second as he is 33 in August.

Re: Season over then
We are all disappointed to say the least at the way the last few seasons have gone and I and others have spent time and money in supporting the club but to resort to effectively assaulting a guy with physical disabilities and people on here applauding it is beyond appalling. Whatever the guys faults...

Re: Oldham
i do think some of the comments on here are disrespectful of players like Balanta and to a lesser extent Justham both of whom have been outstanding servants to the club. The first has scored 40 goals in 120 games for the club whilst the other has played over 200. It's not their fault that they have ...

Re: New Manager
Strevs did well at Eastleigh getting them to a play off berth on a fraction of the budget McMahon has had. After that the money tailed away further and he didn't have much of a chance. I'm told he has done well since coaching at Luton. There are no guarantees and despite what some say on here most s...

Re: New Manager
I wouldn't go with Burchnall either. Notts County improved after he left and he left Forest Green rock bottom. I would think the runners and riders are ( and I'm not necessarily saying they should be) Maher/Currie and Strevens. I don't think they'd be anything in it for Garrard. An outsider might be...

Re: It's time now....
I too think it is time for him to stand down and give somebody else a try. Three years into the job or thereabouts and a lot of recruitment and expenditure and we are no better off than when he started. It won't happen though until we are definitely out of the play off hunt this year and it is just ...

No Onarise in the squad again. Odd.
