Re: Management Changes and departures

I’m sure there are a lot of well qualified people who have applied. I would like a fresh approach with a new Manager. I have no idea if he has all the coaching badges the Club requires, or even if he is interested or applied. Jamie Cureton Thought he was a lovely fella, I think he enjoyed his time h...

Re: Vanarama Tour

Having spent most of this season as Kit Man at Chelmsford City, I obviously know a bit about the teams coming up. Sutton - 3G pitch, which is excellent, but Sutton know how to play it. Gone 25 games unbeaten, funded by income from 3G and millionaire manager Paul Doswell. Train 3 mornings a week, str...

Re: Predictions for next season

Certainly isn't going to be easy. Firstly with exception of a couple of clubs all are full time, so fitness isn't a issue. Even Sutton Utd train three mornings a week and won promotion to National for next season. On wages many of the teams blow Dag & Red out of the water. There are clubs in Nat...

12/1 to win. 20/1 to win, both teams to score.

Just Be Aware

One of the joys of going League 2 is grounds and towns are safe places to visit. Everton is not, they have their little gangs who even today will pick you off if on your own, or start a row if in a group. Be especially aware after the game when it's dark. Not wishing to put a dampener on what should...

Reality Check

Whilst it's good to see players happy after last night, it will mean nothing if in August our first league match is in Vanarama against AFC Flyde. Hopefully we now have 20 players desperate to play at Goodison Park and give a little bit more in the next few games. On a personal note, gutted I can't ...

Re: The ultimate "MUST WIN" game

I think most know I'm in support of Wayne. I would be amazed if he made the 'cricket score' remark but of course you was there,I wasn't so will accept it. I would of love to have known what evidence he has for that. 0-0 and 0-2 to Southport last year and 1-1 with Whitehawk. We best Essex Senior Leag...

Re: Everton away!!!

However motivated our players are to win and play at Everton, you can double that for the Whitehawk players. This will be their one and only chance. I did warn that it won't be easy, for those that haven't been to Whitehawk it's not good from a players point of view so we have to be mentally prepare...

Re: Let's raise some funds

We have 2 potential windfalls coming. One is the sale of JJ, but nobody would want to use that money towards paying off Management. However a plum 3rd Round draw away at a Premier League team might be the answer. You could make a change this week, give the new man Sat & hope he can win replay, g...

Gives me no pleasure to say I did warn of this on the other thread. At least the replay will be live on TV

Re: Prediction v Whitehawk

This is going to be down to the players. Whitehawk are a decent side, with good players, who I don't expect to freeze as the crowd occasion is nothing new to any of them. Now working in this League, crowds at Maidstone and Ebbsfleet are bigger and in truth more noisier than ours. Wayne and the MT wi...

Getting It Right - No Excuses

These have to be 2 of the biggest games we've had in years. With no game this weekend, it has to be a full strength available First Team on show tonight. No resting players or trying something out. The prize could be a winnable Semi Final against Yeovil. Likewise, the Cup Replay. No pissing about go...

Re: Views of the fans

As some of you know, I'm now involved with a National League side, so haven't attended for last six weeks. But I've been seeing things that wouldn't be tolerated at this level. Turning up at 2pm for Wycombe away, travelling on the day to Carlisle and wondering why you run out of steam on 70 mins, a ...
