Re: An Alternative View
Also nice to see a mature response to the debate from "daggers4eva" and "mikethedagger". I honestly believe the man who led us to 9th and 14th will come through for us again and if he doesn't I'll be the first to hold my hands up. As long as you get behind the team and don't have...

Re: An Alternative View
I would have put my opinion at the end of the "Bye Bye Burnett" thread however I thought I'd start a new topic to freshen up the debate. I was one of the 7 Daggers fans who was offered a lift on the team coach to the ground on Saturday seen as the distance from Yeovil Junction to Huish Pa...

Re: An Alternative View
Thanks for posting. Nice to hear good things do still happen around the club! This isn't a dig; but did the events after the game as you've described make any difference in your opinions of Wayne? Fingers crossed for Saturday. No matter what's going on, or how bad the feeling is around the place; I...

Away Day Trains
Train prices out for the first 4 away games already. Me and a few others are booked on the 8:30 out of Waterloo for Pompey with an off peak return as we're making a day of it so we can come back whenever we want. (£36.10 without a railcard) (£23.65 with one). However, have noticed there is a service...

Re: Scott Doe
Probably worth mentioning our top scorer that season, Romain Vincelot got more goals than Benson did that season + you've totally disregarded Rhys Murphy's efforts. The point is no one is bigger than the club and no one is irreplaceable. Gutting to lose a fantastic player but I'm sure we'll replace...

Has rejected a new deal according to Wayne.. http://www.barkinganddagenhampost.co.uk/sport/cricket/doe_rejects_deal_to_extend_daggers_stay_1_4118056 This news is gutting to say the least, our best centre half since I've been coming over which is coming up to 9 years now. Massive shoes to replace. Fr...

Opening day of the season
Fixtures out Wednesday, league cup draw Tuesday. Who do we want opening day of the season and first round of the cup? Personally, I'd like a trip to Fratton Park first up. Spent quite a bit of time in Pompey the past year so know a lot of the pubs and bars plus more chance of decent weather in Augus...

Re: Pre-Season game
What's wrong with playing Southend in pre season? Bar West Ham/Spurs sending a good side over, there's very few money spinners realistically available to us. Surely we should be looking to play sides very similar to the standard of the league we're playing in, I'd say the play off winners of our lea...

West Ham
It was pointed out to me that West Ham have qualified for the Europa League through the fair play award. Can't help but think this could be good news for us if they were to qualify for the group stages (there are 4 qualifying rounds mind!) as this would mean they would play quite a few Sunday's from...

Re: New Wayne Burnett thread..
Yeah let's hope whilst we're trying to convince a number of players to sign new contracts that our manager (who they clearly enjoy working with and is probably one of the main reasons they're considering staying) leaves.Chigwellian wrote:Hope he gets it....

Re: Teddy Sheringham
He doesn't fit into the mould of former players like Hasselbaink who look like ready made managers, Did Hasselbaink look like a ready made manager before Burton? He had one year leading a Belgian 2nd division side to 7th and from what I remember his playing style was all about being powerful and qu...

Re: Your stand out game next season.
The local ones against Orient and Barnet will be tasty affairs, hoping we could play at least one of them on a Saturday for an all day session before hand. On a personal level, was very excited to see County down, have lived in Notts for 3 years however I'm graduating this summer so gives me the opp...

Re: Conference Final
I may be in the minority however I was rooting for Bristol Rovers. To finish on 91 points and not go up would have been near criminal. Really like their manager Darryl Clarke who has stuck with the job really well since taking them down. Plus if you're on social media, you would have seen what a pas...
