Re: First Signing of the season.
Really like this one. If we have him on a 3 year contract then we can definitely expect to get a nice fee for him in the future. He didn’t play in the games where we stuck 8 past them so that adds to his credentials  Now hopefully we can get Effiong and Lawless wrapped up. That’s now only 10 p...

Re: Sporting Director, James King.
Must agree it was an impressive and informative interview and if he does what he says it should make a valuable contribution to the club. The Zoom call with Daniel Hall last evening at the full Members Meeting was less informative and left a lot of questions unanswered which may be answered when he...

Re: Southend under new transfer embargo
Good. They take the piss out of both the league and the legal system. Yet they think all criticisms of them are fans being bitter & obsessed. No, we just want their club to be treated the same as every other person and business and not get unlimited chances. I hope they get nailed to the wall as...

Re: North Sixth Group
Would be good to hear more about them soon. I wonder if they just announced themselves because the cat got out the bag, rather than because they were ready for it Ask and ye shall receive. https://www.daggers.co.uk/news/-Ny4wPl24zCPVN6iuYBq A new sporting director is great to see, something that’s ...

Re: North Sixth Group
I hope this leads to Inih and Tav signing back up. Definitely need some stronger additions to the squad too. With Pearce, I’d love it if we got him. But National League clubs are kidding themselves that he’ll end up with one of us. My money would be on Gillingham or Colchester signing him.

Re: North Sixth Group
An interesting one… They seem to be involved with three clubs currently: - New York-based Brooklyn FC who they are looking to establish as a team in Memphis’ league soon. - Campobasso FC who have just won Serie D in Italy under NSG’s ownership. Seems like Campobasso is somewhat of a new phoenix club...

Re: Play Offs
Hot take to say this game doesn’t need to be at Wembley and therefore the season doesn’t need to finish as early as the end of April ? Only 22,000 there today, could easily have had it at like, I dunno Villa park or West Brom or somewhere Agreed. Whilst no doubt the fans and players alike would hav...

Re: The Released Players Thread
He 100% will not go to Southend for a hundred different reasons, despite the Still connection. Won’t go to Hornchurch either if it’s true he left us to be closer to home. I’m not sure if he wanted to be near his current house (wherever that is) or Leicester. I guess that’ll determine where he goes n...

Re: Play Offs
Bromley to go up Braintree and Brackley please. If ever there was a time for us to shift up a gear, It is next season, so the league looks like Sutton Forest Green Yeovil Tamworth Brackley Braintree Barnet Altrincham Solihull Moors Gateshead Halifax Town Aldershot Town Southend United Oldham Athlet...

Re: Play Offs
I’d like to see Bromley go up personally. A lot of ex daggers there that I hold no bad feelings towards. Would be good to see them have some success. Whoever does go up though will again further highlight how poorly run this club has been over recent years. As for the leagues below, I’d like to see ...

Re: Todd Johnson… gone
I have been a critic of Todd during his time here, but we can’t avoid the fact that he has been working to try and make changes despite the obstructions Thompson puts in his and our path. If the new owners didn’t want him around, then fine we can survive. But they best be following it up with a clea...

Re: Aldershot Home Final game of the season
To be honest I do hope we see that referee again. Yes he was incompetent, but at least we got some real comedy out of it in the end. With the rest of the incompetent officials we just have their crap decisions to enjoy. Overall a really entertaining match, despite it being a draw it feels like we ha...

Re: Bye Trinity
A new statement from Peter Freund today which sounds very positive. Hopefully more information will be given once things progress more. Followed swiftly by news that Effiong is staying for 2 more seasons and we have Pereira and Appiah-Forson for at least another year please 🤣 I would really like it...

Re: FA Cup - no replays
A shameful decision, but one completely expected. However I can see the fall out from this being similar to the super league and the FA going back on it. Really anytime Richard Masters thinks something is a good idea, those around him should do the exact opposite. Speaking of which - I saw on the BB...
