Stuart Thurgood would have been a legend, had he managed to play more than 20 games.Masked Man wrote:
That's a luxury we can't afford - we need players in that area who turn up every game and are rock solid reliable. Steve Heffer, Stuart Thurgood and Abu Aggogo stand up you have all been counted in as legends!

Re: Absolutely daft and stupid!
Does the title of this thread refer to me, or to football in general, or people who follow football? I ask because it seems to me there is so much nonsense surrounding football that is now turned into some kind of fiesta, whereas I am only interested in 22 people kicking a lump of leather around a ...

In agreement. Haven't paid for a ticket since we went up at Wembley. Pointless. Force always used to get in ground.Woodford Dagger wrote:Tickets? Who pays for a ticket? Mugs game mate just barge in like a proper fan would.

Team for Tomorrow
Unfortunately it sounds like Partridge is out for tomorrow's game as he hasn't trained all week. So Batt will come in, although I would like to see Abu fill in at right back, but I feel that's highly unlikely. Think Jamie would be more effective coming on from the bench in the 2nd half tomorrow as h...

Re: What is our best 11 currently?
A 4-3-3 with a false nine. O'Brien - building for the future, has potential. Batt - 3 assists the season, you can't argue with that. Gayle - Promising towards the end of last season, don't see why he's out on loan. Saah - Solid all season, reminds me of a young Sol Campbell. Connors - Defending when...

Re: Let's not get too carried away
Agree with most things on this thread. The performance level was poor Saturday and we rode our luck. However, it was a much needed 3 points, and winning does breed confidence. I would like to see minimal changes to the side for the Oxford game which would hopefully lead to us looking more of a team ...

Re: Potential Replacements - The Obvious Ones
Not Peter Taylor. Whatever we do, please not Peter Taylor. Former England manager. Not as if we are gonna get that calibre ever, if at all anyway. Why don't you like him ? Or more seriously,as it shouldn't be about personality, what did he do wrong that Dagenham wouldn't profit from ? Surely we'd lov...

Paul Sturrock would be good but doubt he'll come as he's settled in Cornwall now. Doesn't want a job away from home. Very astute manager though.

Re: Positives and negatives
Hemmings for me looked very good today, liked the way he directly ran at defenders, definitely think he should be a starter for the Bury game. Still some work to be done defensively, Connors solid today and I think him and Widdowsen could have a good battle for the left back position, providing we s...
