Re: Joe Quigley

I personally don't think we'll be in trouble. I can see that we've signed some of the better players from the clubs in question. But the opinion we will struggle is far from ridiculous. It's probably not any more ridiculous than saying we'll be top half. Look at the signings we've made: Strizovic, r...

Re: Joe Quigley

We had a budget which presumably included Wilkinson staying until next summer. Who knows if Grant would have signed but you'd have to expect we'd still have made signings had Wilko stayed. Therefore we now have 40k fee plus about 100k unused wages until June 2020. That is nearly 3k a week extra mone...

Re: Joe Quigley

Agree Sussex. Said all along that this was all spin and they've known since day 1 he'd leave this summer.

Re: Joe Quigley

You cannot replace Wilko. He's big strong quick skilful and scores goals. Nobody else in the whole division last season fit that bill. We obviously needed a big man, whether he starts every week or not. The goals have to come from wide and midfield which is why we've added Brundle, Luque and Dobson....

Re: Ben Goodliffe

I think he's really good and I'd rather have him than Clark in all honesty. He's big, strong, good in the air, reads the game increasingly well. His main drawbacks are that he's very slow and he gets his feet in a bit of a mess when he's under pressure. He's very young though and the latter point is...

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

And Phipps is until June 2020, the original article about it was wrong.

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

I forgot Luque, he is pretty tall yeah. I don't think Robinson will start now we've signed Brundle and Odametey but we'll see. It's just my impression that opposition tend to contain quite a few who are more like 6ft 3+ and well built.

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

Looking at the squad as a whole, I think we're probably a bit small. We only have 3 outfield players who are bigger than 6ft as far as I can tell, and they're all defenders. I know height isn't everything and physically strong players are also needed at this level, but every team we seem to come up ...

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

I don't think we're going to get it. This is one of those squads that could go either way. A lot of players will either be stepping up to full time, or will be hoping to play their first ever full season of football having only played sporadically at other clubs. If it gels quickly it could go well,...

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

Boreham made some good acquisitions today.

Can't say I'm really that excited by our business so far in comparison to the rest of the division, I'm still struggling to see us in the top half.

Re: Another New Signing

Seen him a lot over the years and always felt he was a fully committed player but lacking a lot in terms of quality. I feel our model so far this season has been to bring in very hard working players and I hope this energy will stand us in good stead. We seemed quite passive last season. If the like...

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

Few players have baffled me more than Doidge. He was the best of a bad bunch when he was here but he controlled the ball further than he could kick it, and had no real quality. At FGR he looked fitter, quicker and a far better finisher. Couldn't quite believe it was the same player!

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

Not sure any further wingers will be forthcoming. We have McQueen Graham Kandi Dobson and Luque who can play wide.

Need another out and out striker, a right back and 2 centre backs minimum.

Probably have plenty of trialists.
