Re: Ricay

Nah it can't be, Tamplin was a good guy with pure intentions for us, and his associates are all whiter than white.

Re: Ricay

Think tamplin will be selling up shortly, much like his house.

Re: Dagenham Rejects,FC

Agree with the point about nobody finishing above 20th in the league above. Orient were poor champions really, they barely improved the side from being mid table the year before. Even we made them look ordinary and we were quite poor. It isn't a surprise that things aren't going well for them, and i...

Re: Dagenham Rejects,FC

Wilkinson. Hawkins isn't a player who gets you on the edge of your seat, he isn't exciting, he's just functional and effective. Wilkinson is someone you'd happily pay the entrance fee to watch.

Re: Hartlepool

It was a very strange incident. The guy was actually catching McQueen and had absolutely no reason to push him - he could've just got alongside and guided him away from goal. However once he pushed him, it's a red. The defender panicked as McQueen is one on one with the keeper. Balanta was to his le...

Re: Hartlepool

As a sub, Graham looks a better bet than he did when starting. Very quick as you say. I'd also put McQueen in for Dobson. I think we've stumbled across about our best team, maybe more by luck. Quigley was excellent today and I'm really pleased for him, I thought he had potential and long may he cont...

Re: Hartlepool

Same team probably.

I'd rather have McQueen than Dobson, and before our first clean sheet of the season I'd have Gordon instead of Clark but now it's probably best to leave it alone.

Good player at this level Thomas. Would've had him.

Re: Maidenhead United (A)

Phipps and Robinson both playing well recently. I'd stick with that pairing. Brundle has improved game by game but think the other two are better defensively and having Phipps gives us some much needed height.

Re: Match Preview: Bromley

I agree about our approach defensively. Our lack of pressing and deep lines just invite pressure and we will always give out eventually. It isn't possible to play that way and not concede goals. Relatively simple movement is often enough to unlock us and we were probably fortunate that Bromley alter...

Re: Chesterfield (A)

I think in his last spell, John was a bit too intent on sticking to his plan of effectively 424 and it meant we let in a lot of goals. However, I think if we'd got a more solid 433 or 442 going and stuck to it, we'd have had success. I don't necessarily think 352 is too bad for us, it was the right ...

Re: Bury

Absolutely Alan. This type of thing needs to be properly stopped. How can Salford lose 3m in a season when they come under FFP? Well, the regulation lets you lose 5m a season! How they have the brass neck to even call it FFP is incredible.

Re: Bury

Didn't Manchester City already give them a free training ground? I can't blame the prem clubs themselves but there is something rotten in the way football in this country is structured. FFP isn't worth the paper it's written on as clubs like City and Chelsea before them just buy the title with ludic...

Re: Rhys Murphy

Defence is still a big worry, especially when we abandon the 5 and open the game up. Thankfully our forwards have been able to outscore the opposition last couple of home games, with Justham keeping us in it. Brundle did get on the ball a lot but also gave it away quite a lot. I think we need to fin...

Re: Trouble at Boreham Wood

I'm not sure what he expects. He admits himself that 300 season ticket holders failed to come. This is always likely when season tickets are so cheap compared to the extortion prices on a matchday. They must be one of the most expensive clubs in the division for away fans because of this great swind...
