Re: Havant & Waterlooville

Can understand being happy with how the club is performing right now given our position in August. In the grand scheme of things, I’m happy too. Rather have a team playing crap in mid-table than no team at all. But there is a lot of talk on here about pushing for promotion/the title next year. I th...

Re: Havant & Waterlooville

There was an 'and'.

The handful of changes made us markedly more defensive but ok let's ignore that.

We went to one of the worst sides around and lost by 3 having barely laid a glove on them. This is woeful by any interpretation.

Re: Havant & Waterlooville

Surely you expect us to at least make a game of it and to put a relatively strong team out?

Re: A long way to go...

Can't see safety or police allowing the away fans to be split between areas of the ground in this way. Think you'd have to give them seats in the corner of the Carling if they're standing on bury road, but as we only have one turnstile into the Carling this wouldn't work either as you can't do hard ...

Re: Bromley Match Thread

Who knows what selection we'll get this week. I would guess similar to Sutton but with Balanta back in.

Re: Maidenhead

I think Kandi himself said he'd never missed. Three days later he missed.

Re: Maidenhead

He's massively inconsistent and sometimes he looks overwhelmed when he's pressed, he seems quite easily rushed out of the game. But he's got plenty of strengths too as seen by his goals and assists record, especially when played all over the place. I prefer him in the middle 3 as he is different, he...

Re: Today’s man of the match

Justham was faultless. His judgement on a couple of shots he let go inches wide was perfect and he's much improved in the air. Like a different player to the one we signed.

Probably McQueen. Manny played well too.

Re: Your line-up v Sutton?

Justham Hoyte Manny Goodliffe Smith McQueen Robinson Phipps Munns Balanta Wilkinson If Balanta still isn't fit then who knows. Probably bring Gordon in to make a back 5 and push McQueen and Munns up more in support of Wilko. Any idea where Bellamy is? He played a friendly a couple of weeks ago and s...

They were upset that he had a different number of fingers to them.

Re: Gutless performance

I don't think Hoyte is going to solve our problems but I'd certainly have him in when Nunn is out of form. I'd probably have played a back 4 today against the shape Gateshead play. I am really struggling to see where the next win comes from unless Balanta and Conor can suddenly drag a result out of ...

Re: Gutless performance

Easy to find stats to prove any point. The manager clearly doesn't fancy Hoyte despite him never having one game as bad as Nunn has had 5. McQueen looked better in the midfield 3 this season cos he's a bit different and runs beyond the forwards. The midfield 3 today were sterile. Loft slows the game...

Re: Wrexham

Been very unimpressed with Wrexham this season and the fact they're near the top speaks volumes.

Missing 3 of your best players would hurt any club at this level so I'm not surprised to lose the game. We best hope they're all back soon tho or we'll get pulled back into a scrap.

Re: Just announced

I thought in these situations they usually left the snow on the pitch as a blanket and swept it off a couple of hours before kick off. It isn't meant to drop below zero so the pitch shouldn't be frozen.

Although not sure why they haven't covered the pitch on advance of the snow.
