Re: Ben Nunn

He's got patellar tendonitis as far as I know which is very hard to treat. I doubt he'd go under the knife as there is quite a low success rate for this type of injury. Convincing the body to heal is a very slow process as tendons don't have blood supply. It could easily have flared up again. He sai...

Re: Team for Eastleigh

He was miles away from making any contact. Thought it was more a frustrated air kick than anything else. Harsh.

I hope they are still issuing a refund to our fans as they were in breech of the rules at the time. Anyone had anything back?

Re: Team suggestions for Chesterfield

I like Tomi but he should have had 4 in the first half alone. I think it's probably worth trying to play him into form in the absence of a better replacement. Kandi maybe but a different sort of player.

Re: Two from two...

Whilst Romain has the work rate he also has controlled aggression which is very important. He is never willing to accept the ball isn't within his grasp even when a defender is 70/30 favourite. Whilst most players stand off, he's like a little bulldozer. The game can pass him by when our ball forwar...

Re: Team suggestions for Barrow

Aside from the assist at Barnet I think Leighton has been largely woeful until last night. Ok in the air, no pace, no movement off the ball, gave it away an awful lot. Having said that, he did well off the bench and could become an asset in time. First half Reynolds was the only player who ever look...

Re: Team suggestions for Barrow

I'd pick Hoyte all the time. He was poor when he came on last night but he's been pretty good overall I think. McQueen is a funny one. He seems capable of very good things and very bad things. I don't really trust him as a full back, he seems to get beaten a bit easily and his one-touch clearances s...

Re: The Positivity Thread

I'm a dagger as my old man brought me over in 1996 when Runcorn beat us and we got relegated, but for some reason I loved it. He's been a dagger since the 50s and his dad was before that. I just loved how close you were, the humour of the support particularly the HWLP around that time, the fact that...

Re: Salford

I felt they were far more interested in looking good than winning. I think the teams with more experience than us will be able to take points off them. Very good collection of players but the build up was very slow. I was quite pleased they seemed content to play triangles on the halfway line rather...

Re: Being the difference

I would expect they've been reminded clearly by the management of the importance of keeping the fans onside during this tough patch. That is just sensible management. But it starts a culture rather than being a prescription.

2 howlers from Justham already this season. He looks a lot more commanding of his box than he used to but still seems to misjudge the ball a lot.

Re: We need a captain to lead the team.

Wright seems to do a lot of organising at the back in open play which is good. From set pieces it should largely be as per the manager's instructions before the game so if people are losing their man then no amount of shouting is going to solve that. Some players are bad at marking and despite being...

Re: Another striker brought in

Hoyte is our best defender regardless of views about how he left before.

Last night was clearly an attempt to put us on the front foot and it didn't work so we changed it at half time.
