Re: Ebbsfleet latest ...

To add to that: the FA eventually closed the case saying there was “ a lack of corroborative evidence.” This after 9 months + of less than transparent activity or lack of. So the case was unresolved, an unsatisfactory outcome for all parties involved. It left many of us with a sour taste. It was unf...

Amongst the gloom I'm afraid I had to smile....

..."Limited Players Available for Sponsorship" on the main website. I am following all this from afar and can see that many throughout the club are trying really hard to make things work and stay positive, even if as I suspected would transpire, cracks are beginning to show. But to label our staff a...

Full and life members...

So the meeting (only a week today) involves an "update" and "advised of proposals" but does it also incorporate a vote (which then "ALL" supporters would be made aware of an hour later?)

Re: The Silence

I, clearly like many others, are becoming distressed and disturbed by the lack of any known developments. Dagger4eva's message highlights this. Are we waiting for the (rich) cavalry to come over the hill? Have we got a Plan B..any Plan? I sense that whatever is going to become public knowledge soon ...

Exactly. And farther afield such as Suffolk (myself), Devon and Sussex I guess.
Never lived in Dagenham either.

Re: Daggers V Irons

I despair like others in this thread. What a PR/marketing chance missed - open goal! I really enjoyed Saturday - best 90 minutes I've seen in a long time. But...the crowd, given the well publicised circumstances!! And...not one person around me even mentioned the financial crisis. There really seems...

£250k

So last night probably raised towards £50k if I understand correctly. So where on earth is another £250k going to come from ? This, again if I read correctly, is just to keep us going until the end of the season, a mere 6 weeks away. And all seems to have gone quiet on the new investor front reading...

On the 19th February 1977 Leytonstone drew 1-1 at home to Hayes in a Rothmans Isthmian League match. The Hayes equaliser was scored by Cyrille Regis 6 minutes before time. Leytonstone's captain and centre half was John Still but he was a team change that day. Maybe he saw the opposing centre forward...

Lowestoft (just down the road from me) against Dorking Wanderers. Bright, lively young forward there by name of Jake Reed. Will report back.

....and I never understand why we have threads like this....so undermining even if all respondents say no. Lots of people who are trying their best and need encouragement will have seen this and on a day when we're supposed to be looking forward positively with hopes for the year ahead. I appreciate...

Time to modernise?

Following the discussion in the latter part of the Time to Change thread, I wonder, and I just put this out there, if it's time to drag ourselves into the 21st century. I've always thought of our club as somewhat old fashioned, traditional, solid, representing the local area kind of club (and I mean...

Re: Time for a change

"The Idiots". To tell the truth this is one of the reasons I didn't come down for the game from Suffolk yesterday (apart from the inevitability of seeing another BD defeat!). If I were still involved with the club in any way I'd be bringing this up at the next meeting as a matter of importance/prior...

Re: How is this fair on the players?

I agree 100% Mike. On the rare occasions I've travelled to an away match I've often been embarrassed (at best) by the overall behaviour of some of our 'supporters', ranging from childish to downright foul mouthed and abusive. Sadly I hear much of the latter around me at home games too. It's got to s...
