Infamy, they've got in for me

I notice our website refers to the 2-1 win over Orient last December as 'imfamous(sic)' There are lots of ways to describe it, infamous is not one. It can mean any of: notorious, disreputable, ill-famed, of ill-repute, wicked, abominable, outrageous, shocking, shameful, disgraceful, dishonourable, di...

Re: Daggers Thank You

Probably best to let it go now.If you're not enjoying something, try an alternative, deal with all the anger you seem to have. Have a break, many of us have done that. I would say - we have a team in the Conference, who may (or not!) be rather watchable and good next season. As is likely to appear i...

Re: Drewe Broughton

I do remember that far back. And that makes fascinating and thought provoking reading. It may also explain his somewhat uneven loan spell with us - electric to start with - 4 goals in first 4 games, then only 1 in next 7.

60 64 65 80?

I didn't get a season ticket this season for the first time in eons - now living over 100 miles away and, at the time, dubious future of the club, made the decision for me. I've managed to see a couple of games with hopefully a few more this month. So I was interested in the half season ticket offer...

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be

I'm interested in how fondly many on here recall the trip to Everton a few years back, a match we could easily have lost by a cricket score had the opposition been moderately bothered. The other day was the 10th anniversary of a far superior and more entertaining FA Cup trip to Leicester which we lo...

Re: Ebbsfleet latest ...

To add to that: the FA eventually closed the case saying there was “ a lack of corroborative evidence.” This after 9 months + of less than transparent activity or lack of. So the case was unresolved, an unsatisfactory outcome for all parties involved. It left many of us with a sour taste. It was unf...

Amongst the gloom I'm afraid I had to smile....

..."Limited Players Available for Sponsorship" on the main website. I am following all this from afar and can see that many throughout the club are trying really hard to make things work and stay positive, even if as I suspected would transpire, cracks are beginning to show. But to label our staff a...

So the meeting (only a week today) involves an "update" and "advised of proposals" but does it also incorporate a vote (which then "ALL" supporters would be made aware of an hour later?)

Re: The Silence

I, clearly like many others, are becoming distressed and disturbed by the lack of any known developments. Dagger4eva's message highlights this. Are we waiting for the (rich) cavalry to come over the hill? Have we got a Plan B..any Plan? I sense that whatever is going to become public knowledge soon ...

Exactly. And farther afield such as Suffolk (myself), Devon and Sussex I guess.
Never lived in Dagenham either.

Re: Daggers V Irons

I despair like others in this thread. What a PR/marketing chance missed - open goal! I really enjoyed Saturday - best 90 minutes I've seen in a long time. But...the crowd, given the well publicised circumstances!! And...not one person around me even mentioned the financial crisis. There really seems...

£250k

So last night probably raised towards £50k if I understand correctly. So where on earth is another £250k going to come from ? This, again if I read correctly, is just to keep us going until the end of the season, a mere 6 weeks away. And all seems to have gone quiet on the new investor front reading...

On the 19th February 1977 Leytonstone drew 1-1 at home to Hayes in a Rothmans Isthmian League match. The Hayes equaliser was scored by Cyrille Regis 6 minutes before time. Leytonstone's captain and centre half was John Still but he was a team change that day. Maybe he saw the opposing centre forward...

Lowestoft (just down the road from me) against Dorking Wanderers. Bright, lively young forward there by name of Jake Reed. Will report back.
