Re: Match Preview: Bromley

Luque was flagged offside for the 2 yard miss. Draw probably fair as it was a penalty. I’d like to have seen one for us for Bingham holding Quigley every single corner, but hey? As to their equaliser, not sure it was a free kick, it was taken miles up the pitch, but look at our play: nobody went to ...

Re: Bury

The other thing in the Gary Neville interview was that he said Salford accept making large losses as the cost of getting promotions that will get them to the Championship ie they expect the losses to continue year on year, with the idea being that they will be sustainable by then. How many Champions...

Re: Bury

In our league clubs are/have thrown money at players. FGR made a loss of £2.1m in the year they were promoted. In the years before that their losses were 2.5m, 2.9m and 2.4m. Close to £10m in losses over 4 years to get out of this league. Ebsfleet’s latest accounts show a loss of £2.6m, on top of lo...

Re: Missed chance to increase home crowd.

I’d have run the promotion yesterday instead of Wednesday, but I guess they’re trying to get people onto the ground instead of watching the game live on BT Sport. The matchday experience hasn’t really improved in the last year. The catering remains dreadful, the PA system inaudible, there’s nothing ...

Re: Rhys Murphy

Murphy was superb, Justham made three excellent saves and should have got man of the match - how Brundle got it is beyond me.

Quigley started poorly, but the first goal gave him a lift and he grew in confidence and played much better afterwards.

Junior Agogo RIP

Some of you will remember him, former Barnet striker, decent player. He has died, aged only 40.

No, but you could knock out a burger, pie and mash or a curry fairly cheaply.

Re: Matchday Hospitality & Clubhouse

We had Citra in the downstairs bar couple of years ago and it sold like hot cakes.

The beer and catering need an overhaul.

Re: Trouble at Boreham Wood

It shows you the level of financial backing that clubs are getting - perhaps they are not quite the overachievers that many think.

I recall them signing Doe and Howell when they were league 2 players. I think they had Charlie McDonald at that time as well.

Re: Fan Reactions

I wouldn’t bother. When we win the team and coaches would be brilliant, when they lose they’d be useless.

Re: Harrogate Home

Some terrible defending by both sides. Officials were appalling.

Balanta put in a shift today, was excellent winning the ball back and using it intelligently.

Re: Boreham Wood (H)

My first game of the season and first look at the new squad. I wasn’t impressed.

The whole thing looked pedestrian and toothless.
