Re: Goalkeepers

From a personal point of view, the first Stevenage goal was a classic case of the defence and Justham mixing themselves up. They didn't deal quick enough so Justham came off his line and found himself in no man's land. He needed to be more vocal and have a better command of his box. Not hearing that...

Re: What do you think of the new signings ?

I was at the Stevenage game yesterday and thought Ferrier really stood out from the new signings. He's a real handful and with the right shape and delivery, he can be a real fox in the box for us. The weather conditions were a bit of a problem for us and the pitch played really slow. New signings wi...

Re: Widdowson

I'm sure John has someone already lined up. They must've known for a few weeks that he was still up in the air with a decision. Have to say I wasn't his biggest fan and always thought that he looked a bit out of his depth. Admittedly each time I saw him last season he didn't always have the support ...

Re: Congratulation Lincoln

Personally whether we go up or not doesn't really bother me. So long as the football is a good, entertaining day out with us winning most weeks I am happy. The football league is wonderful in terms of revenue and exposure, but the question is would everyone prefer to be in a relegation scrap year in...

Re: Sutton United visit on Bank Holiday

The refereeing was absolutely shocking at every level today - completely clueless and Sutton bought every decision they were allowed. I felt Justham was impeded for the 2nd goal, but there should've been someone to shield him. The half time change in formation (short lived) clearly didn't work and J...

Playoff semi dates

Feeling rather optimistic after the last couple of results and was wondering if anyone has the semi-final dates that they could post for us? The conference website isn't loading and I can't seem to find the semi final dates anywhere. Presuming we finish 4th I believe we'd be at home in the first leg.

Re: 25 years of daggers

A match with the Conference winning team against celebs in the summer would be good.

Something to appreciate the players that have represented the club (even all 4 predecessors) would also be good.

Re: Worthing FAT 1st Round

Refereeing didn't exactly help, but this performance was in one word - gutless. An absolute shocker. You don't mind being outplayed, you don't mind losing to an absolute screamer; but watching player after player dodging any sort of 50/50 for most of that is diabolical. The goals were scrappy and to...

Re: Worthing FAT 1st Round

There's no West Ham today, so perhaps a few will take advantage of the reduced tickets. The weather is expected to be shit come lunchtime today, but hopefully that won't have too much of an effect on the crowds or the game itself. Hopefully we pick up a half decent win today; it's my 4 year old daug...

Re: Braintree home game moved for TV

It's more money and exposure. I'm sure I read somewhere that the home team gets 30% or 40% of the gate receipts for the game up front. Trouble is West Ham are playing Manchester United with a 5.15 kick off that day, so that'll probably knock 100 or so off. The bar need to get on this early doors and...

Re: Steve Thompson interview

Thanks for posting. It is very sad however that the club don't have the ideas to do something like this themselves. They have the press, social media and a customer database full of email addresses where information could be sent out. This whole process has been uncertain, created wholly by hearsay ...
