Re: Brian Woodall
And yes...if you speed and kill its your fault and you should suffer the consequences. If it were your kids as the victims you'd feel exactly the same.

Re: Brian Woodall
Drink driving is not ever an accident Dagger83 And Im actually shocked at your 1st sentence and I quote you... Dagger83 said ..... "It is an accident as I doubt a person drink driving purposefully looks to mow down a kid" .If you want my aunts number you can have it mate.Maybe you'd change...

Re: We are supporting him...bless!
Arnu, I wholeheartedly agree with you on the drinking and driving issue. However, while he was caught, charged found guilt and sentenced, our politicians (who supposedly are there to represent us) do far worse, actually DO get people killed and we make less of a fuss about it. And yes, I have been ...

[quote="Daggers No 2 Fan Football clubs aren't there to provide moral guidance. Maybe if people stopped describing footballs as role models, then others would start to realise that they aren't.[/quote] Well neither of us particularly like it but the truth is footballers are role models and thus...

Re: Brian Woodall
Also, are you saying Dagger83 that drink driving and killing people is an accident? Dosent the drunk driver have any responsibility for their actions then ? Like taking the car with them to the pub in the 1st place for instance.

Re: Brian Woodall
If you don't regard the possibility of a drunk driver killing your children as a big deal then its not really difficult to see why you are having trouble with my view.If this is a trivial matter to you then obviously Im wasting my time.A plumber isn't generally a public roll model neither is a burge...

Re: We are supporting him...bless!
Footballers are roll models. If we can teach youngsters you can have a Merc at the age of 25 (Not a small car to hit you with either) and you can drive it round pissed and its ok by your bosses then I must say Im a bit disappointed. Many footballers act like c***s and get away with it in situations w...

Re: We are supporting him...bless!
I accept what you say DagenHammer87.Forget my personal experience,I had the same opinions before it ever touched my life so personally. Footballers are roll models. If we can teach youngsters you can have a Merc at the age of 25 (Not a small car to hit you with either) and you can drive it round piss...

Re: Brian Woodall
It grieves me that Saturday I will be handing over £20 that will enable our Opponents to pay a Goalkeeper who has devastated the life of one family. Would you rather him be on the dole, supporting him financially for life? Yes.The reality of that would bear no relevance to your take home pay Dagger...

Re: We are supporting him...bless!
Im not blaming Thomo but he was quoted as the spokesman for Dagenham and Redbridge. But the clubs stance is support him and forgive him.Admirable in some ways but foolish in many others. What if hed killed someone ? You know they'd have sacked him don't you.The message to little boys everywhere at the...

Re: Brian Woodall
See my other thread Sussex. Im not on any bandwagon as such,I think society views drink driving less leniently than it ever did nowadays.I felt just as strongly about this crime before it ever touched my life. This must break any contract he has with the club "bringing the clubs name into disrep...

http://www.romfordrecorder.co.uk/news/crime-court/daggers_striker_brian_woodall_gets_20_month_ban_for_drink_driving_1_3012751 You have to sack him or you trivialise the matter and condone it,and all idiots who drink drive will believe its ok to do it. Mr Thompson,Just one phone call to the mother of...

Re: Surely not!
I think Id rather go up if we could. That would guarantee 2 more years of league football. But we'd have to break some of our skinflint ways and invest to stay up.Im not saying go mad,but doing nothing like last time would be a mistake.I think the rewards for that would be much higher attendances and ...
