Our attacking players
There's been a few comments about this in various other threads, so I'm curious to see a larger general opinion on this. We're certainly a bit spoilt for choice. Assuming there were to be no further arrivals or departures of our forward line, who do you play ? I would emphasise this is more an opini...

Re: Any more new signings ?
I think our transfer dealings are finished as far as attacking players are concerned. A lot of mention for how Whitely, Hawkins, Ferrier, Cheek and Fey all fit in, plus you've got Sparkes to add to that equation. Can only potentially image one last defender or defensive-minded midfielder if anything...

Re: Any more new signings ?
I have it on good authority that a new signing will be announced tomorrow. You're not wrong... https://twitter.com/Dag_RedFC/status/875283116390313984 EDIT: As had been anticipated for a while. Michael Cheek has signed. http://www.daggers.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/signing-daggers-sign-cheek-from-b...

Re: New signings? Renewed contracts? Released list?
One of the local papers here has mentioned our name relating to left winger Dan Sparkes , who has recently turned down a new contract offer at Torquay. They claim we were among a few clubs who took a good look towards the end of the season - though also admit they don't know whether there's definite...

Re: The list.
He's under contract after signing for 18 months. Whether we like it or not, he's here to stay. It's either that or his contract is cancelled, which would mean paying him off in one lump.Oxhead wrote:Jake Howells, really ?

The list.
Surprised that Ling has been offered a new deal and that we've allowed Curtley to leave, otherwise mostly at expected? Players contracted to the Club for the 2017/18 season: Elliot Justham Scott Doe Craig Robson Matt Robinson Luke Howell Elliot Romain Fejiri Okenabirhie Oliver Hawkins Andre Boucaud ...

Re: congratulations to York City
It seems to me consecutive relegations are becoming more of a thing these days. Think a lot of it is probably down to money teams suddenly reducing budgets. That said, I think York are a team who just had the most terrible start to the season and couldn't recover, although they were minutes away fro...

Re: Should we be going for former daggers?
I'm not against it. It's pretty normal to look at ex-players, they're the names that stand out on retained lists since we know more about them than the rest. I'd be interested to hear what those (if any) who are dead against signing former players think about having Doe and Benno for a second time. ...

Re: Come on Tranmere !
No malice towards either side but I'd like to see FGR get promoted - solely for the reason that some of their fans must be decent people and they too should have memories of their non-league club making it to the Football League. There is a lot of animosity in this thread but setting the bickering ...

Re: Tickets for Away game at FGR
I bought my ticket online and I'll collect it at the ground. I'm sure I read this was to speed up the process. That said, if we have to collect them - surely this would only be joining the same queue for those buying? Unless there's plans for a seperate queue for collection than buying on the day?

Re: On play offs
This year it would look like that, but it's not always the case. Everyone enters the league knowing they could be in the position Tranmere are in, so it's hard for anyone to complain. Only thing I'd complain about is that it would be good for 3 teams to go up/down between league 2 and the conferenc...

Re: Player commentary
Disappointing to be told that we are to lose Dagger Player. Understand the reasons but think the EFL asking for grotesque sums from non member Clubs just shows you the way the game has gone. Would have thought the EFL had a moral duty to the game and should be promoting Football outside Premiership...

Re: Who's going down?
I've been awful at predicting this. Said Torquay had pretty much gone, now surely must be odds-on to stay up. When we played York during thier good run I said they would still go down, and now they're back in the drop zone. So who knows maybe I wrote off that too early in my previous post. I can't s...

Play-offs vs Forest Green
So with a game to spare, we know we'll be playing Forest Green in the play-offs. I think out of Tranmere, Aldershot or Dover, we can be reasonably happy. What we're not completely sure of is whether we'll be home or away in the first leg. Unless we thump Woking by 7 or more goals, Forest Green requi...
