Re: Northwood friendly
Does anyone know what sort of team we put out? Mixed team but the starting XI, to my knowledge had Tavares, Longe-King, Lawless, Ibie, Blair and the new striker Kendall... We had two trialists in the starting squad who, I can only assume did little to push for a full-time contract with the club unl...

Re: Conor Lawless
Very good player from what I saw in the Orient game, so you had well at 21 he’s not going to be the finished article yet. How refreshing it is for us to be signing these players and not the obvious overpaid charlatans from the last few seasons. I think we’re an experienced centre forward and centre...

Re: Conor Lawless
Polarising figure it would appear from the Friendly performances on online/ social media chatter... But I think it's a brilliant signing as a holding player with two of a Vincent/ Rees/ Hessenthaler etc further ahead of him in a three.
Squad must be nearly there.

Re: New Striker
Would be amazed if we didn't think we were a midfielder short still after the trialists at recent friendlies... the centre back trialist will continue to worry me until he goes to another team.
Can only assume the extra body on trial in defence recently means Tavares is still nowhere near a return

Re: No Views From The Sieve
Hopefully they manage to fix this then. Although it’s good the club acted swiftly since most saw it at the Orient game, it’s still embarrassing that this even happened at the first place. And I do worry about the decision making at this club, even with all the Americans involved. The decision makin...

Re: 📝 Lewis Page
An obvious injury risk having barely kicked a ball in two years, but if that wasn't the case he wouldn't be near near this level anyway. Was clear during the friendlies that he's a cut above in movement, technicality and reading of the game. Keep him fit and we've got a League One calibre player. H...

Re: Southend United
Now the game appears to be going ahead, all we need to do now is give them a good thrashing! They have pretty much the same team as last season, not much weaker so will give us a decent game still. The league have completely bottled it, why were they allowed to carry on last season not paying anybo...

Re: Friendly: Leyton Orient (H)
A decent performance with many positives against what was essentially League One Orient's strongest side; the quality of players like Darren Pratley and George Moncur would have posed a great challenge for us. With that in mind, the performance of trialist Conor Lawless was particularly impressive ...

Re: Friendly: West Ham (H)
Agree, I thought it was an excellent performance and that Effiong held the ball up brilliantly and scored a great goal. When Sid came on thought he looked very lively and despatched his penalty with confidence. Not sure of the exact line-up and would appreciate if perhaps Joel could supply that if ...

Re: Jake Hessenthaler
Mich'el Parker. Hasn't looked great whatsoevet in any of the friendlies. Played for West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool at Youth level so must be a talent there somewhere... looked waaay off the pace in the pre-season games so far, however. Aveley and Hornchurch he looked like a player coming in for hi...
