It's not quite where the thread starts but there are some great ideas in this thread on how t attract more fans (there are some fairly-unworkable ones too). Take a look at the posts from Seagie and ProgressiveTara (both Morecambe fans).

Re: TBS
I appreciate there's a small chance as Tamplin's lot say it happened repeatedly, but there's always the chance Tamplin Jr/the U14s mis-heard/mis-understood the chanting. Doesn't necessarily mean they were lying.
Of course, it could just be that they were.

Then you've not been paying attention. Alan's explained the situation pretty succinctly.ARNU wrote:Looks to me like investment or liquidation.
Edit - Dave Bennett explained the situation in the DiggerDagger interview too.

Re: Chairmans reply to Consortium
Chigwellian, what I think is that you're extremely lucky the people in charge of our club don't take defamation and libel as seriously as people at other clubs do. Edit - If I was admin on here I'd be deleting this kind of stuff. You can't go around accusing people of the things you are without a s...

Re: Tamplin - Yes or No
Why do we need this sudden investment? I thought Dave Bennett had said in the DiggerDagger interview that it was projected that we could need investment (or an overdraft facility), not that it was definitely needed? We've all known that our business model (i.e. selling on players) was what kept us ...

Re: Tamplin - Yes or No
I should point out that my overall preference is that we stay a member's club, but that wasn't an option.

Re: Tamplin - Yes or No
Sorry to be "that guy" that comments rather than just votes, but none of the above really apply to me.
I think I'd be a "reluctant yes" if it meant he didn't have a controlling interest. I don't think it's as black and white as "yes or no".

Re: Overheard on Saturday
The following was overheard on Saturday. Glen Tamplin was at the game and telling people he had bought the club out. Apparently he wanted to take his people round through old tunnel and sit them up in the seats, and the steward was heard telling him if they had tickets he could take them through. G...

Re: Members Meeting on Monday
I have no idea what the current financial position the club is, but surely everyone should expect Thommo to come out and paint the picture as rosy as possible even if it isn't. From a business point of view - we could have a player or two other clubs are potentially interested in (which is a possibi...

Re: Gooders on radio
I'm not claiming to have any information, but why people are taking what Goodwin says as gospel, and then claiming Thommo is a liar is beyond me. Confirmation bias. The lack of any kind of "official" information leaves a vacuum that people can fill with speculation. The way to stop this i...
