Re: The Fat Lady is clearing her throat

20 Yeovil (44) 21 Hartlepool (41) 22 Stevenage (38) ---------------- 23 Daggers (34) 24 York (28) It's us and York I'm afraid. I do have us down for wins against Morecambe and Wimbledon with a home draw against Crawley. Would be interesting to see what odds would be available on some of these predic...

Re: whats needed from here to survive?

When the club announce the next manager they should slash ticket prices to get people in for their first home game.

Or give people a voucher for a free Burger or something to thank fans for their support despite repeated failure at home.

Re: There has never been a better time...

That might compromise a deal that they're looking to finalise or negotiate on.

I hope the supporters club board reps have been given a bit of information and will have a say in who the new manager is.

I doubt we'll see any appointment until midweek next week.

Re: He isn't leaving

Good post Arnu. The club will have a number of contingencies planned throughout the budget. I think they genuinely thought it was typical Dagenham, where we're usually proper Shite until Christmas and pick up. Fan pressure has made an impact and for all we know this could have been a mutual consent ...

Re: There has never been a better time...

Perhaps the constant changing of the team is a symptom of the fear that has been created around the place. When the shit hits the fan, a lot of managers make it a big thing about not making mistakes. Being human, players normally concentrate and worry about not making mistakes that they are sidetrac...

John Still until the summer; moving upstairs with Alan Devonshire coming in.

I doubt we'd get Powell, although it would be nice.

Re: today, yet again

Sadly despite all of the issues with results and everything else, the crux for me is the lack of mentality instilled in the players. Under JS (and I felt to a degree Hill) we had an identity. We all know what it means to "be a Dagger". We know that most weeks teams will be better with bigg...

Re: Luton Appear To Have Done It..............

Long term is not what we need right now. Winning matches is what we need right now. I say go for broke while we still have a place in the football league than slide away and keep the dream of the football league as something to aim for. Let's worry about the future come may.Stay up and you have the ...

Re: Luton Appear To Have Done It..............

Get him back as a director of football.

Spend the money we would have used replacing Wayne and hiring someone else and give the team a bigger budget out of the cup money.

Re: THOMMO

I don't think the club need to tell anybody anything. If we did that, people would point out how unprofessional that is. No other club that's worth anything has ever done that. The problem is we're not massively cut adrift and somehow there's two other teams in the division doing just as badly as we...

Re: Martin Ling Appointed Manager

Think we've missed the boat on this one. Would've been my first choice replacement. As for anyone who makes snide comments about his mental health need to take a long look at themselves. (as seen on other posts previously). Good manager who got a decent return out of Orient and is obviously made of ...

Re: The Silent Protest

What about something simple like everybody turning their backs on the game for a couple of minutes? Might not sound much but it would get a bit of press and create a bit of a distraction if everyone did it at the same time and tweeted/ facebook'd whatever at the same time. Thommo and his goons can't...

Re: New signage being delivered to the club

Thanks for posting.

I hope the club are reading this forum... Might be able to get you a little job at the club (you know, designing the website or sticking your hand down the shitter).

10/10 would read again.

Re: Is it an appropriate time?

Thanks for posting. Loving the early 90s music intro. Very retro!

Sad how it's still true 20 odd years later.

Weren't it a dream years ago to have real football people running our club? Methinks that's where we're going wrong.

Re: An Alternative View

Thanks for posting. Nice to hear good things do still happen around the club! This isn't a dig; but did the events after the game as you've described make any difference in your opinions of Wayne? Fingers crossed for Saturday. No matter what's going on, or how bad the feeling is around the place; I ...
