Where did it all go wrong?

Looking at the squad we started with, we wasted budget on: Partridge - paid off barely a month into the season Nosworthy- legs had gone, a liability who retired before the end of the season Dikamona - a panic buy who gives no reassurance to anyone McClure - came with a reputation for being injured m...

Re: Congratulations Cheltenham

I would love to follow Cheltenham and regain promotion at the first attempt. Rumours are that £400k is the parachute payment but not sure how that compares with what conference clubs receive. What did Cheltenham do to return to the football league at the first attempt. What changes did they make la...

Re: player of the season

To be fair, Spillaine left us to join Southend and then spent the following season at Cambridge - he probably got more money!

Re: Closing a game out

Still hit the nail on the head when he talked about the best players not necessarily being the same as the best team. Don't expect to see too many of the squad getting new deals in the summer.

Re: Joe Worrall

As far as I can tell, he didn't even make a pre-season appearance until 1st August, with the season due to start the next week. I reckon he was about as lined up to sign when Doe signed for Borehamwood as I was. We did not have our team anywhere near sorted at that time. This. Dikamona was a late p...

You mean the way he was treated by Burnett, not by Still.

Re: Jodi Jones free transfer

Arnu, given your displeasure at watching Still's teams, will you be taking a season ticket at WHU instead of the Daggers?

Re: Morecambe Predictions

I'll never understand why Still encourages us to sit deep second half. It just invites pressure which you can only do if you have an accomplished defence which can soak up or deal with the pressure, and obviously we don't have that. Instead Morecambe grab an inevitable goal and what ensues is a com...

Re: Results again...

Due to some paint drying on Tuesday evening I will not be able to attend the forthcoming fixture versus Morecombe. Therefore I have two season tickets that can be borrowed by anyone who can be arsed to come and collect them and bring them back to me after the defeat. Don't want anything for them, I...

Re: Jodi Jones

Agree with Arnu. The kid has talent, but he needs to stick on some muscle as Sam Saunders did when we went up and to get his belief back.

Doubt they're going to play him much, this is more about taking him now with the deal done for the transfer.

Re: What a waste of money....

I wouldn't criticise Wayne for this. Digger, Zavon signed first time in September 2013. He was injured in March 2014. He underwent a medical at st George's park which said he'd be playing after a few months and so in August 2014 we agreed an appearance based deal. It was a gamble, but one supported ...

Re: TBS Stand

Next Season this should be a home stand. The Bury Road should be turned into away standing and a away seating should be Bury Road end of Carling stand. If you have it open you have to engage the full compliment of stewards required by the safety certificate, which is I think 14. Next question is ho...

Re: Is there any point ?

Arnu, try not to get yourself embroiled in maths again, you made a fool of yourself last time.

Anyway, given how you've not enjoyed yourself this season and don't like watching Still's teams, will you be getting a season ticket for West Ham next year?

Re: What a waste of money....

But as Tom says, at the time we gave him his contract in August 2014 he was only expected to miss the first 2 months of the season, so a largely appearance based deal for a bloke who could unlock defences was a reasonable gamble for Wayne to take.
