Re: Daggers Shield/Coat of Arms/Logo

Is the Dagenham motto a bit of a thumbing their nose at the upper class of English society or am I reading a bit too much into it? I may have to hand in my season ticket at this stage, as to be honest I don't know what our motto is! I've looked at the website, a recent matchday progamme and even on...

Re: Daggers Shield/Coat of Arms/Logo

Is this a fairly recent change in the crest or does it go back to 1992? I know the owner of the Daggers also owns the Memphis team on my side of the Atlantic but I am not sure when those teams were purchased and if that was the time a change in the Daggers crest came about or if the Daggers crest h...

Re: Daggers Shield/Coat of Arms/Logo

You're welcome.

I like the fact that our crest has local historical meaning to it and it's good that this is recognised by the owners.

Re: Daggers Shield/Coat of Arms/Logo

I believe the tree shown in the lower quadrant comes from what was the crest of The London Borough of Redbridge, whereas the other parts of the DRFC crest come from the crest for Dagenham town. I think the keys and dagger symbol is a reference to St Peter and St Paul. I could be wrong here and it ma...

Re: Barnet (A)

A decent performance yesterday from the team in a game that in seasons past we may well have drawn or could have even lost by the odd goal. Over the past three games we appear to be far more clinical in front of goal, than we were last year, and we're now taking those few chances when they come. Las...

Re: Season Ticket Poll

At this stage I don't intend to renew my ST, yet this is purely based on personal/family reasons, aside from that I probably would have renewed.

Re: Match Off

Surely we must have trained yesterday or today in order to play tomorrow so I can only assume all the tests are negative. Be interested to know exactly why Saturday was off. Not sure what time they would normally start training but I was there for my covid jab this morning and there were no bodies ...

Re: Match Off

If that was the case you would have expected to call off Tuesday and next Saturday straight away, guess they might need to do more test and if a negative result then no reason not to play on. I’m sure we have had that outcome before. Yea I did think too, it may be a case of sending X home and then ...

Diggerthedog wrote: Sun Mar 14, 2021 9:10 am You would think so, even if further tests are negative we’ve had no time to prepare.
Plus isn't the 10 day isolation still in effect, so if one of our squad / back room staff is positive would that not mean the whole squad would have to isolate ?

Re: T.V.

I renewed my ST as I was aware of the circumstances and the options at time (as still is the case) suited me. Albeit far from ideal i'm able to follow along with the team and save some money. Although I've only brought the one away stream (first game of the season) and the quality was so poor it put...

Re: Match Off

Far from ideal, we had only just stared what appears to be a decent run, building on from every game, and with a new signing too. Was due to be a busy March for us, and this is needed like a bucket with a hole in the bottom, will be a busy final third to the season for us, and it could go either way...

Delighted to have been proven wrong, in the end.

Perhaps the score line somewhat flatters the visitors.

Great confidence builder and we can move on from here
