Re: Another straw poll

I love it when this argument gets rolled out. A proper willy waving fest. If someone really did say that people who can't always make games can't have an opinion; it says it all. Perhaps if the team delivered and the experience was improved people would come back. My question is; how many times have...

Re: Save Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club

A walkout doesn't hit the coffers hard enough. They'll all still get paid.

A couple of hundred outside the ground on match day singing and making noise will make more of a message

Re: Walking away

I only make it over a couple of times per season because of work and family commitments but even when I get some free time and cash I can no longer be bothered. I've proudly supported and defended this club since the late 90s but it's slowly becoming more and more of a chore. I don't like the loss o...

Re: I was a Leytonstone/Ilford Raffle Ticket Seller

I read it yesterday and I meant to post and say thanks Merge.

I'd like to think that the supporters club won't walk away. Really they are a massive part of the club and at times like this will be vital.

Re: Our ground- New Name

To be fair on things like this the board are damned if they do and damned if they don't. However the way we do things off the pitch is amateur. If this happened in the Ryman days it would've just been passable. Sometimes it's hard to believe we were in league one. We will never grow or develop or es...

Re: Not good

I'm going to put on my tin hat; but would going down be that bad? It's nothing new for the club to have experienced relegation and it would make a change to win a bit more often. We've been looking down the barrel for years. We're sloppy from front to back and are relying on the goalscoring prowess ...

Re: New Kit Unveiled

I kind of like it. I hope it's not one of sondicos stock shirts with our swords stitched on. It would be nice to have a shirt sort of unique to us.

The collar looks clean but I don't like how we insist on having so much blue in the kit. Red home blue away!

Re: New Home Strip

Is there going to be a proper kit launch? Other clubs seem to do this so much better than we do. I know we did one a couple of years ago of a couple of players on the pitch; but there's a lot to be desired. Still, anything has to be better than a couple of years ago; when the kit was posted to the O...

Burnett's media blackout?

I've been a regularly reader of all of our local rags for a number of years; but I've noticed recently how little Wayne actually has spoken to the media since this slump; instead sending out Currie or Hackett to speak to the press... Can anyone shed any light on this? IMHO, if I was a player in a te...

Re: So, If It Happens

Alan Devonshire of Braintree Town. I know Paul Brush is still doing some work at Spurs, lives quite locally and could be available. Obviously then there is Ling as well. I think Sturrock wouldn't offer that long term thing that the board seem to like. Sort of the equivalent of Martin Allen who would...

Re: The Spirit and Buzz Has Gone

Back in the "good old days" when I started coming along - 99 onwards - the thing that really captured my imagination was the character and personality of the club. It might not have been the greatest of clubs playing the greatest football in the greatest of leagues; but there was that some...

Ade Yusuff

Taken from today's bbc gossip column;

Striker Ade Yussuf quit his job as a waiter at a noodle bar to join League Two Dagenham and Redbridge on a one-year contract - but had to take a pay cut. (Daily Mirror) (external)

Fair play to the bloke - lets just hope he takes his opportunity...
