Re: Current Squad
im happy with the strikers tbh 2 very good strikers plus 2 good potential and we only play 1. Reason I say that is because I expect Nouble to go out on loan, Goldberg isn't ready to lead the line on his own yet either, can't count on Murphy to stay fit for whole season and Cureton can't play every ...

Re: ZAV IS BACK
The mercenary bit would grate on me if he had played a blinder last season and gone as we would have received no fee... Now if he destroys league two and buggers off we get a pay day too

Re: ZAV IS BACK
No idea what Wayne said yesterday at the gabba forum but info earlier in the week from a friend who knows the team well suggested he was back much sooner than Christmas.
A super couple of days just before the season starts!

Re: Andre Boucaud
Thought my post was pretty clear... Hey ho... Other players have been signed on mediocre pre season games... Boucard played two excellent games... The comparison with other signings is perfectly relevant. Again the lower league issue is a misnomer as his most recent club played him 49 times last sea...

Re: Andre Boucaud
Not certain we can simultaneously complain we have too many centre mids whilst wondering how players will get in the squad that aren't fit or continually injured... The guy is better than what we have at what he does so how can it be a problem? We wouldn't have got the bloke in if we couldn't affor...

Re: No answer?
I can't get my head around how we agreed the trial (with their best wishes on the website that he was with us for a week) without a solid idea of costs if we signed him... no point in the trial period otherwise

Re: Andre Boucaud
Potentially (based only a couple of friendlies mind) the best signing of the Summer... certainly even more of a suprise than Cureton (or even Hines last year). Thought he was a class above Colchester in the friendly and they placed a strong side against us. If Bingham continues his injury record the...

Re: No answer?
Why are people so desperate for a player who only wants to play for us because no one else wants him? I'd prefer Porter to have a great opening to the season and sign a contract extension. Haven't seen any of pre season due to being out of the country but everyone seems impressed by Doige so hopefu...

Re: Daggers Number 1 ....
Maybe his number is a lucky one? Too lazy to check the history at other clubsAVincelotFlyingLeap wrote:Hopefully Connors will inhabit that number 3 for the next 15 or 20 years, Maldini-style. Thought Cureton could have used number 10, mind

Re: No answer?
Confused about the 'tapping up' comments... They allowed us to take him on loan and mentioned as much on their website.
Whether we expected to pay for him is s different matter...That side of it sounds terribly naive on our part

Re: No answer?
Unfortunate given how he played against Spurs but would be astonished, given the nature of the restructure of the squad this season, if Wayne didn't have any thoughts on a plan B already... he has said for a long while now that we needed wide players and 'two strikers', even before we got hold of Cu...

Re: Daggers Number 1 ....
Handling the ball outside the area in 2 pretty much consecutive games also sticks out. The incidents to which you refer were in August and February. If you're going to dig out a player about the same old things at least have some idea of what you're actually talking about. Strangely he went on to p...

Re: Daggers Number 1 ....
I've only seen the Spurs game but thought Cousins was the one if anything that was rolling the ball out to the left quicker and getting play started. I honestly don't know on this. I'd have thought Cousins before the season. He came seemingly well recommended by others but yet he really doesn't loo...
