Re: Still threatens to leave
Mr Still is on a fixed term contract, so if he wishes to leave then he will have to pay compensation to the club.

Re: Chairmans reply to Consortium
It's simple really. Our Outgoings exceed our income, so we have to cut them or increase the regular income. A short term investment just delays this by a few years. The problem we have is that the commercial department haven't been able to market the club to increase income, be that through increase...

Re: Chairmans reply to Consortium
Unethical and unlawful are quite different things. Some unlawful things might be ethical - speeding to take an injured person to hospital, for example. As to whether he's fit to run the club, I wouldn't make a decision based solely on this, nor have I said anywhere that I would. I'm not pro either c...

Re: Chairmans reply to Consortium
Firstly, no, I don't think "any other" business would act in an unlawful way. A minority would. Secondly, this is not unethical conduct, it is unlawful. The fact that some people might act in a certain way does not mean that so acting isn't horrible. And that's where this started, with you...

Re: Chairmans reply to Consortium
Ok, so which laws is it ok to break for personal gain? The noise pollution was over 2 years and continued despite enforcement notices, according to the reports. I haven't actually said its ok, I've just said would you or any other business do any different? Unless you're the fabled Saint Alan of Da...

Re: Chairmans reply to Consortium
This really is daft. He runs the place, he's responsible for his staff. Does ignoring planning restriction imposed to control the noise from a steelworks for the benefit of nearby residents and continuing to do so over a course of years despite notices from the council make you a horrible person? h...

Re: Chairmans reply to Consortium
Ok then fair enough- so he broke the rules and had a noise violation. It's his workers that made the noise not him. And breaking a noise violation doesn't mean he's a horrible person or a dodgy businessman. This really is daft. He runs the place, he's responsible for his staff. Does ignoring planni...

Re: Chairmans reply to Consortium
Look at the accounts available online. The profit reserve has been falling for last several years ie we have been making a loss and living off reserves built up from player sales. So you can argue we were living within our means or you can argue that we were not, depends on how you view the use of r...

Not that long ago he gave an interview stating he had never met Rio or Anton Ferdinand. Very talented and looked like he had a real career as a teenager at Southend. Too much too young?

I suggested this when we were in the rymans, conference and league 2.TommyD&R wrote:Southampton are a 5 minute train journey away, but I think they do the discount deals when you show a prem season ticket at the gate. Notice a lot of clubs doing that at this level.

Re: Investment Proposals
Few points. Who suggested option 1 and why if not everybody listed will actually accept it? Why won't Tamplin accept it? He still gets most votes and shares. Equal footing proposal sounds most palatable to me but shouldn't JS be first in line to take up the slack if anyone pulls out given his willi...
