Re: Wealdstone

What we had when we were part time were managers (by and large) who knew what they were doing, had a plan b, recruited players to fit their preferred formation and mostly had somebody above them who could question them. We have none of the above now.

Re: Bromley (A) Thread

I'm not sure that the ref did give Bromley a free kick for their defender clearing out Walker ahead of their goal - I thought he gave a drop ball to Bromley which would have been correct if he thought there was no foul at all (since they had possession at the time). Not that I agree at all that ther...

Re: Woking..

Todays game is a reality of where we are and how far behind the top sides we really are, how’s has this been allowed to happen oh yeah lack of ambition throughout the club despite the money to suggest otherwise. Accept mediocre get mediocre FC. You mean that two 1-0 victories against relegation alm...

Re: Anyone braving the strikes tomorrow ?

No chance - given the late notice of the suspension, the timetable planned for the strike will be the timetable run tomorrow, so no help at all!

Re: Dorking (A) Grumbles

I actually don't know what's worse: The players who were completely gutless, showed no real enthusiasm or commitment and just strolled around like it was a training session The manager who has no ideas, has a formation that he will stick with through thick and thin yet didn't buy the players to suit...

Re: Post Wrexham (A) vexations here.

What chances on the fact that we suddenly turn up in front of the owners, put in a performance and nick a result? To be followed by the inevitable dunno what you're all complaining about, it looks like we're doing great...

Re: Woking (A) in-game and post game thoughts

Also an extra special mention to the officials yesterday, who were probably the most diabolical that I have seen for a few years (for both sides). They were almost as clueless as our side.

Re: Centre back pairing v gateshead

Also, does anyone know what the latest with Ansu Janneh is? I'm happy to be corrected, but I thought he was under contract for this season too, but don't recall seeing his name in any of the pre-season friendlies?

Re: New Signing Pending

The acid test, as always, will be how well all the players play together in a team. There's no reason that pinching the best players from lower teams can't work, and has been seen here before, but there are also examples where merely getting the best of lower teams doesn't result in excellence - see...

Re: Wrexham (H) Thread

Likewise the Boreham Wood game at home - Daryl said that he didn't want to change anything as it was a close game.... it was only close because we had been dragged down to playing at Boreham Woods dreadful level as opposed to them elevating up to a decent standard. Make a change or two, win that gam...

Re: Sideways pass crab football loada shit

The most damning thing is that we are one nil up, playing the majority of the match against 10 men...yet was there anyone in the ground last night that was actually surprised when Woking equalised and ultimately got a point out of the game? We have become so slow and sterile - what happened to the f...

Re: Stockport (H)

we cannot just throw money at this like a number of teams in this division, we have to be sensible and work within our means as we want our club to have a long term future. Are you seriously suggesting that we are living and working within our means at the moment? I'm pretty certain that the squad ...

Re: Crucial Week.

I have no idea how it will impact the results, but why from the start of October (league games only)? That sounds like rather selective data!
