Re: Least Enjoyable Home Game Since When?

First half the set up was all wrong. It was a back 5 with Wright dropping onto Goodliffe's toes whenever they had the ball, hence Barnet had the majority of the possession as nobody wanted to engage them. I have no ideas why we were trying to play Phipps behind the front two. He's excelled lately in...

Re: Halifax

Kosylo would have torn Gordon a new one. I’m guessing that’s why he didn’t start. Liam is one for the future. He needs to go out on loan to get some games. He’s started 15 for us this year, we picked up 9 points in those games. Agree with this. At first, I was a bit baffled when I saw the line up. ...

Re: Chesterfield

No No No to Tom Denton. Just no.

Hines would be a good buy. We're short on the wings, he's a local boy, he knows the club etc. Chesterfield fans are annoyed about losing him. I've read many who have written that he is their best player. It's a no brainer for me, as long as it's a short term deal.

Re: Taylor in Taylor Out

Happy to eat my words. Still feel that he didn't set us up well enough with what we had earlier in the season. Several selection decisions left me regularly baffled. However, he said that we'd be better off going forward in a few weeks once he sold Romain and he's come up trumps there. Long may this...

Re: Bromley away

I actually think that if you upgrade Phipps and McQueen (although they're fine for now), then you have a top 7 starting line up (made even stronger when Smith comes back for Pennell). Don't get me wrong, the quality of depth in the squad needs to be improved but that XI isn't far away at all. Winnin...

Re: Sutton Today

Yes it was me that had words with Taylor and I deleted the post after as I wanted to post something more constructive rather than a rant on what was a difficult day. If Taylor don’t want stick perhaps he should do a better job then he current is with 4 wins in 21 games, like I said to him were Dage...

Re: Tyrique Hyde

No surprise. He's struggled massively with injuries and missed a big part of his development. He probably needs to go back before he can go forwards again.

Re: Taylor's of Harrogate

Justham - Brilliant. Some outstanding reaction saves. One from a corner was immense and another deflected shot right at the end was knocked wide rather than back straight at the striker. Nunn - Blocked. Blocked. Blocked. Blocked. Blocked. Solid as. Goodliffe & Manny - Both did well against Beck ...

Re: Shall We Pick A Team For You

Hard to say with the defence right now with a few new faces added. Munns should definitely be playing in front of Bellamy and Robinson though. Balanta and Kandi either side. Adeloye up front. Hopefully, we get a winger to step in for Kandi (who I prefer as an impact sub - don't think he ever offers ...

Re: Two new signings

Happy with both of those. A left back was badly needed as I don't want as moving Pennell across when Gordan is unavailable (Harfield doesn't seem to ever be trusted at LB). Nathan Smith is a decent player as well so no complaints here. Hopefully it doesn't take him 3 months to get fit enough to play...

Re: Taylor in Taylor Out

I wasn't convinced when we appointed him. His record in recent times backs that up. Worryingly, we seem to have got worse since the takeover has gone through. Although we've been in games up to the last 2-3, I feel we're fortunate even to have 9 points. If we hadn't have scored late against Braintre...

Taking a leaf from Maidstone

No....not the new striker - although he had all the presence of a leaf considering his stature. This caught my eye: https://www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/sport/stones-six-named-190455/ Do we do the same? Undoubtedly it won't happen under Taylor or else that's him admitting that he got the summer re...

Re: Team suggestions for Barrow

Moving away from Hoyte, Leighton should be starting every game for me at the moment. I think him and Romain have the potential to be a very good partnership. They linked up in the first minute at Barnet for the goal. When Leighton came on last night, it was a different game. I like Adeloye and think...

Re: Salford

Most disappointing thing for me was the quality of our delivery. We worked the ball wide on so many occasions but our crossing was woeful. Lost count of the number of times we shanked behind for a goal kick. Leighton looks handy. He can move pretty well along the ground but most of his goals for Mil...
