Re: NL: Hartlepool United (H) 23 September 2023
Any idea why the young centre back was dropped today? Looked a rare bright spark in the week... really solid,

Re: Mauro Vilhete
I before they had injuries taking their total numbers below 15 (not including the two sent off at the weekend) so we're allowed to sign him and David Martin in goal... although only until the other players return from injury. Seems a pretty decent goalkeeping signing for a non league team in financi...

Re: NL: Bromley (H) 19 September 2023
For a small bit of positivity, the new young centre back on loan looks decent and Tavares looked solid. We absolutely shut off for their goal at the free kick but look a far better defensive team than last year. No idea if Kendall had something in his loan contract about playing/ starting a certain ...

Re: NL: Bromley (H) 19 September 2023
Bromley played us perfectly... kept tight and compact, let us pass the ball around in our final third, up to the half way line and knew we had nothing going forward.
That's the 4th best team in our league apparently??? Another season of poor sides in this league wasted.

Re: NL: Oxford City (A) 16 September 2023
Don't want to repeat the point on every post... but how did we sign a player facing a court case... but we couldn't get a striker in on Loan?

Re: NL: Oxford City (A) 16 September 2023
Happy to be corrected by anyone who attended, but that sounded like a pretty decent 0-0 game

When your luck runs out
Not only do Southend get a bit of a kicking today with only 3 substitutes, but they also get two players sent off and banned...
What are the rules when you finally get down to less than 11 players who can start a game of they get another injury or two this week? :eh:

Re: Loan Market
We will need another loan signing then. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-66824249.amp I said it at the time, but a truly baffling signing as we brought in him when the Court case was already in progress... There is no way we could have been advised, given the severity of the accus...

Re: NL: Chesterfield (A) 9 September 2023
Thought we went about the game the right way and executed the plan very well in the first half and Chesterfield were clearly not completely at the races. They meant business from the start of the second half though and got the early red card which paired with the goal aswel meant we were there for ...

Re: NL: Chesterfield (A) 9 September 2023
I said during the week I thought the fuss about Chesterfield may be overdone this season as they had won 3 games scoring loads against ten men...
Same thing again today... where is your luck at when you've paid ten men four times before mid September??

Re: NL: Chesterfield (A) 9 September 2023
Hopefully a real test of where we are as a team/ squad this season... Certainly not a team you want to play on a losing run, although I said the same a fortnight ago against Barnet. They've scored 4 goals 3 times this season but each time with an opposition player sent off and twice they've had to s...

Re: Loan Market
Dependant entirely on budget but key would be to find (somehow) a goalscorer who isn't playing for his parent team to bring in on Loan... Obviously the best players will, by definition be playing for the team we want to loan them from. Financially that would likely allow us to Loan out Blair again a...

Re: NL: Wealdstone (A) 28 August 2023
Fantastic result, and great to score twice and keep a clean sheet after the start to the season could easily have killed our confidence. Just hoping we didn't run out of all our luck in one game as the first goal on TNT sports highlights looked like it rolled past the keeper in slow motion... and th...

Re: NL: Wealdstone (A) 28 August 2023
Wealdstone is 2-2-1 and sitting in 7 to 8 place. Daggers are now 1-1-3 and sitting in 17 to 19 place. Happy to be corrected but I believe both games Wealdstone have won this season are after the opposition had a player sent off and they were playing against ten men... No guarantee of a positive res...
