Re: Barnet game

Strange game. At the end I was tempted to say that a point was fair, but given how we played in the first-half, I'm a little disappointed we didn't take all three. Matt Robinson, in particular, was exceptional in that first 45. He was getting around the pitch, breaking up the play and knocking some f...

Re: Agenda against Taylor

I’ve posted elsewhere about my thoughts on Taylor but touching on something DTD said, I know a few people not bothering without tomorrow either. Again, this isn’t about anyone being reactionary towards three defeats in four, we’ve had worse or similar starts in the past and that hasn’t stopped those...

Re: Taylor out !!

If you want to get out of this division - which is the ultimate aim for our owners - then you need a manager capable of getting the job done. Look at the last 10 managers to achieve promotion from this league... Graham Alexander Justin Edinburgh John Askey Micky Mellon Danny Cowley Mark Cooper Gary ...

Re: Hornchurch friendly

Was at the West Ham game last night and the Hornchurch game today and I thought we zipped it around pretty well at times. Good close control, spreading the play and it showed with the opening goal this afternoon which was well-worked and finished off nicely by Luque. That said, and despite scoring t...

Re: New Kit

All I will say is that if I hadn't already renewed my season ticket, I would take this as a sign that it's time to move on from the club and not renew. Come on now. Most supporters don’t like it but this isn’t Vincent Tan and Cardiff we’re talking about. This is a stop-gap cock-up that isn’t ideal....

Re: New Kit

Not a fan at all. Don't actually reckon this is what the owners initially intended for the new kit given the emphasis they've put on tradition and such with the new badge, so I wouldn't mind betting this has been a cock-up job somewhere down the line by someone. The statement makes it look like a st...

Re: All Change For Braintree

No qualms with giving people minutes in a nothing game. But there’s a way to do that. As others have pointed out there’s not a great deal of point in playing those who obviously won’t be here next year. I’d rather make 6-7 changes and keep some semblance of the team from Friday, or at least have Bal...

Re: Well done Peter Taylor.

Credit where credit's due that he took the job in the first place and achieved the aim of keeping us up. But that should be that now. We have the profile of a progressive club with a bit of money to spend and ambitious owners who want to take us out of this league. Taylor does not fit that profile f...

Re: Bromley Match Thread

Bromley were all kinds of awful. But it was still a professional job from us, and nice to see the team playing on the front foot. It's the way we should've played at Maidenhead the other night, when Taylor appeared to set up to try and take a point rather than get all three - regardless of how the g...

Re: On Munns and McQueen

I like McQueen providing he's played further up the pitch - as has been the case recently. He obviously has a tendency to attack, which was a serious issue for us when he was playing at full-back. Bombing forward without tracking back or having the cover there cost us a fair bit early doors in terms...

Re: Taylor in Taylor Out

Everyone seems to be changing their tune now. How fickle football fans are. COYD. Think fickle is a strong choice in words. Think why most of us who wanted(?) Taylor out are happy to eat our words is because he’s actually started to win by changing the way we are set up, as we all wanted. Not like ...

Retro kits would be great. Even if we had to vote on only one to reproduce.
