Re: Aldershot
A fairly poor game all round really. Not sure how Manny got MOTM, he had a poor game. We really missed the quality that Balanta brings. Reynolds is so poor. Kicking his own foot going for a lob says it all really. Loft was ok, did the sort of stuff you'd expect him to. Special mention to another set...

Re: Who`s eating their words now ?
I remember when loads of supporters were calling for Peter Taylor`s head how many will stand up and admit they were wrong now ? Not sure they were wrong though. At that point, it wa a painfully obvious that the squad he'd built wasn't good enough and the selections and tactics at times were erratic...

Re: Boreham
Hoyte is better than Nunn. I like Nunn but he was terrible today and has been pretty mediocre of late. I think Taylor just doesn’t like Hoyte. Hoyte is better than McQueen and Wright and Davey and Phipps and our worst player in years Harfield but Taylor picks these inexperienced lads all the time. ...

Re: Referee and assistants
The issue isn't how much they get paid. The whole set up is wrong. Every game there are top level referees getting paid to do very little as fourth officials, if you ignore the Premier League, that's still 36 in the Football League on a full programme of games. They could be doing other games. At ou...

Re: Josh Widdowson
Can’t blame him given that the residents of div corner sing that he is a c*** whenever he returns. Quite what he did to deserve the level of abuse he gets is beyond me. I assume it's part of the stupid need to pretend we have some sort of rivalry with Orient and Barnet, two clubs that on the whole ...

Re: Least Enjoyable Home Game Since When?
I would agree with Alan's post earlier in the thread. It wasn't great, but we weren't going to win every game from now till the end of the season. And although it was bad, we still created three very clear chances and should have got something out of the game in the end. The squad has obviously imp...

Re: Least Enjoyable Home Game Since When?
We lost a lot of floating fans from boxing day despite an exciting game. Casuals never seem to stick around. Bellamy should be available around the next couple of games, as should Smith. I can only assume Tomi is injured. I will say though that Mullings missed a sitter as Tomi has many times this s...

Least Enjoyable Home Game Since When?
Well that was just complete rubbish all round. Three teams that didn't have a clue between them, and a winning goal fitting of the standard of the whole thing. Today showed why there were questions about Taylor not so long ago. The lack of strength in the squad is alarming and the formation in the f...

Re: John Still retires
Anyone that is not able to show some respect for what Still achieved with this club doesn't deserve to have any respect shown to their opinion. They're idiots. Weirdly a lot of those that don't seem to be able to have respect would probably not be supporting the club if it wasn't for what he achieve...

Re: Still Out??
Ask the players who were here last time he came back That's who I heard it from But they didn't do it. A free kick was never taken like that. Never. The common way that we'd take free kicks in our half was that a defender would place the ball so the goalkeeper could run forward to take it fairly qu...

Re: FCUK A DUCK
To be honest I disagree that they weren’t a genuinely good team. They were the best I’ve seen at our place this year. Just that we are also at our best so far this year. Our tactics not working well yet winning isn’t really luck, it’s poorer tactics on their side. And I will never ever accept the p...

Re: FCUK A DUCK
You make your own luck in football it doesn’t land at your feet and present itself, to say we were lucky is just bollocks,we worked hard and got the result we fought hard for! A fair percentage of shots at goal at all levels of football get deflected so once again to say Ben Nunns goal was lucky is...

Re: Still Out??
The last time JS was here the players couldn't believe how they were instructed to play Whenever we got a free kick in our half the defenders were told to run straight to the ball as soon as it stopped moving and boot it forward without looking for a team mate Still's idea was that it would surpris...

Re: FCUK A DUCK
Genuine question here- what luck did we have that people keep mentioning? I think their calls for a penalty were more desperation than any genuine handball occurring, and the keeper parrying Wilkinson’s shot to McQueen isn’t luck, it’s just a mixture of a powerful shot and bad goalkeeping. On the o...
