Thanks nomis, we really appreciate that.

We're also loving talking about old players and games. I know it's my favourite part.

Here's the link to Episode One of a new weekly audio project I'm making with fellow forum member Cockney Byrites. In this football based series we will discuss in particular The Daggers, The National League and Grassroots Football in general. This episode had to be split into four parts as it went o...

Re: Yesterday Was A Bit Like Christmas..........

Good post Dashers, I thought the defence looked solid yesterday and to only be outdone by 2 set pieces from a strong Premier League side is extraordinary. I would've liked us to go for it a bit more in the last 10 when it was still 1-0 but maybe the bigger picture is to keep the shape and take that ...

Re: Prediction v Everton

Reality says a 5-0 defeat but this is the FA Cup and weird stuff happens. Bradford at Chelsea. My optimism says 2-2 as they've got to field players who aren't match fit. Lukaku was never going to play against us but with his injury, it means that the player that would have started against us could n...

Re: In Burnett's defence

I think when you have clubs like Peterborough, who hoover up promising non league players and then keeping them a few years then releasing them, means that these talents are not getting the chance to develop their game naturally. Vardy was lucky as Halifax and Fleetwood gave him game time to develop...

Re: In Burnett's defence

We need to remember that for a club like ours we have two choices when signing players. They are either players who aren't playing competitive football for their teams at all (some for extremely long periods for varying reasons) or we try and find gems in non league. That in itself is a risk whether...

Re: Shrewsbury Prediction.

I can never put us for a defeat, no matter what the head says. So I'll go for a positive 1-1. I think their home record is very impressive but as soon as you hit April, the pressure begins to tell for teams in the important positions. Those home wins turn into draws especially against mid table teams.

Re: Football heroes

I first went West Ham when I was 8 and my instant hero was Trevor Brooking. But away from him the best team I saw live was the Liverpool team of the 80's. Hard to pinpoint any player in particular as they got it perfect as a squad. Used to also love watching Glenn Hoodle play. For Dagenham I loved P...

Re: Tamworth or Southport

Thought of Southport takes my memory back to a game against them an eternity ago. We had two players sent off, l think before half time, dont recall who. Was one Stein?? Anyway it was probably one of the most hideous officiating displays l EVER have witnessed at a live match and l genuinely feared ...

Re: Burnett Poll In or Out

Definitely in. For the last few years it's been mentioned that this board won't be happy until we're back in the conference. Well we are still currently a league team and this board and management got us to 9th place last season (even with our home form). Some may say that this was a false position ...
