Re: St Albans match
Nice relaxed atmosphere tonight in Clarence park, albeit about 10 or so of us Dags and be lucky if it went beyond a ton in ground top notch, plenty of new faces on show and were still trying to put names to shirts but slightly worrying that its almost certain that not only losing Billy to Crewe our ...

Re: Away Day Trains
Been on the look out since fixtures come out for the two games on most peoples minds, Pompey & Carlisle and got Carlisle first for exactly same price as a few months back on exactly the same trains 7.30 out Euston and back from Carlisle 17.52 (£42 from my area/Hatfield) and come up trumps a coup...

Re: Pre-Season game
That's good news, 'sufficient numbers' don't know the exact number but should imagine it needs to be about half full or more to warrant the costings, I think the 8.35 I'm on from Stansted has a few early bookers, plus the added bonus quite a lot of the Dutch love English soccer whatever level and ge...

Re: Opening day of the season
Can't believe it we've got Pompey away on a Saturday at last, great! Regarding O's match, how do they keep firing these out like this when Hammers pull out same Saturday as us, even a bigger one being the very first homes for both clubs?? Personally I'd rather play our one on a Sunday afternoon. Als...

Re: Capital One Cup
At this stage of Charlton Athletic's life its a winnable game for us, would have preferred some team like QPR at home to generate a bit more dosh and interest, can we break this voodoo now and get out of Round One at last? Good point, havn't been done this manor for years, boozers anyone?

Re: Pre-Season game
Is that a definite? Sport v Daggers July 18th. Flights from Ryanair coming up pretty cheap and know through working and living in Holland that Brabant region quite well, Helmond's only about 10 miles from Eindhoven, its a great part of the world, with a fine beer culture/pub scene which would go dow...

Re: Pre-Season game
Think Clarence Park and Tuesday night in St.Albans is in for me as only a short haul up the Hatfield Road, can't understand why hardly other than the Maidstone one no games on Saturdays? Jumping around rush hours crossing town to try to visit the midweeks is a bit of a mare.

Re: Season tickets
Good saving early bird so best to do it before the next ten days, sent mine off about the time of Newport away game, I feel even if you miss the odd game its still good value, can't wait for the season to kick off again tbh, a few beers in the club and really hoping we don't start off as bad as that...

Re: Your stand out game next season.
I suppose most of us fans like going into stadiums we've never visited so next term Yeovil, Crawley (handy for Mr. Sussex), Notts County and Bristol Rovers at the Memorial (Did go to Eastville a few times) will be ones I look forward most to visit. Orient should be a good affair although like Dagenh...

Re: Conference Final
You've got to feel dead sorry for Grimsby got all this way and been playing some good football and to lose out through penalties but was I the only guy that when watching on BTsport that 3rd penalty taker (the missed one) going up to set it up knew he wasn't in the right frame of my mind and just kn...

Re: Pre-Season game
Wouldn't mind to see out a game with Conference South play off winners and Conference new boys Boreham Wood, have we ever met them? Only a bit down the A1 from Apex Corner and could draw in a fair few from good footballing territory.

Re: Oh Shrimpy....
Ventured over to the Lamex Sunday and as a neutral treated to a really entertaining encounter and feel both sides had decent breaks and well impressed with Parrett of Stevenage and your work horse of a midfielder Deegan, everything seemed to get going with this guy, that clash of heads must go down ...

Re: How many ?
58 grounds that clubs are still using between Premiership and League 2, 5 grounds that premier sides have left and 3 grounds that Championship sides have also left. 5 in the Conference, always found going to Hillsborough in the old days fantastic atmosphere. and obviously the Spion Kop at Liverpool ...

Whose been?
See we now know the four new nomads were be up against next season, Crawley Town, Notts County, 'Could you believe it 'The O's' and Yeovil, Only done the O's ground so looking forward to the other three, I hear getting to Yeovil is a bit of a bind but at least County is pretty deep in Nottingham Cit...
