Re: Orient sack their manager..
I hate to say this but Still would be perfect for them. He would stop their freefall and stabilise them - then get the money to take them back up next year. If I was Orient I would be breaking the bank to get him. I hope I am wrong.

Re: THE GLYN HOPKIN APPRECIATION THREAD
Agree with all of this - especially the bit about the petty arguments around flags, e-mails, our yobs, Thompson etc. If I was Glyn Hopkin I would be wondering what I had let myself in for. I totally trust his judgement in running good businesses and if that means keeping Thompson at the helm then we...

Re: Club Statement
How would we be able to tell if the ball had gone off for a corner or a throw in? I'm afraid that the total flag ban option is unworkable ;-)Alan wrote:I’d ban all flags from football grounds.

Re: Club Statement
Love him or hate him - Thompson is the marmite of the Daggers for sure. Did Donald Trump model his presidency on Steve Thompson's tenure at The Vic?

Re: Robbed.
Whichever way you look at it - asking a bunch of pissed up non supporters halfway through the second half who have probably spent most of the afternoon watching Sky Sports News rather than our game who the Man of the Match is makes a complete mockery of the whole thing. Might as well not bother - as...

Re: What does he mean?
The bloke appears to be a nasty piece of work. The more I see from him the more I am glad he is out of our club. I reckon that the current Dagenham board saw through his bullying tactics. He can do what he likes at Billericay because he owns it lock stock. It was never going to work at our place unl...

Re: FA Cup Draw Home v Leyton orient
Such a shame that the FA Cup doesn't get respected any more. The solution is to give the winners a place in the Champions League instead of Top 4. Watch how the Premier League teams would put their strongest team out and fill their stadiums if that was the case. I am sure that the indifference shown...

Re: HAWKINS .....GONE !
Will anyone please tell us what the damn fee was? I despaired when it cam up as Undisc. on Sky Sports News. Why is it that we have to keep this stuff a secret all the time? Same with Jodi Jones. If nobody can tel us the price then at least can someone in the know explain why it has to be a secret FF...

Re: Roof question.
No need for rails at the Vic - we already have plenty of safe standing at the side of the pitch. Most of the time you could swing a cat round where we are - if you hated cats for example. (No cats were hurt during the research for this post)

Re: Encouraging the kids
I started watching the Daggers in 1984 when I was 14 simply because me and my mates weren't allowed to go and watch Arsenal or West Ham (I am pleased to say there were zero Chelsea or Spurs fans in my year at Sanders Draper). It made us feel a bit more grown up and got us into the whole experience o...

Re: CLUB STATEMENT REGARDING BEHAVIOR
Interesting reaction from the lads involved in this. Sulking, taking their ball home and saying 'we aren't allowed to chant anymore so we will purposely shut up' - this is the kind of reaction I would expect from my 9 year old. I think it shows that we are dealing with a group of teens here who stil...

All good but I am not sure about the FA Trophy. We haven't done well in it for years now - not sure if it is a priority.

Re: Oliver Hawkins SHOCK NEWS UPDATE !
Did anyone watch Hawkins after Xmas? - he lost his place to an aging Benno FFS. Waiting to see what he does this season is too risky - I would cash in right now. Remember that plonker Brian Woodall. Could have made a tidy sum when Millwall came in for him but waited too long. Get rid of Hawkins now.
