Re: Joe Quigley

Dont like judging potential.goalscorers on past records as they are dependent on the service even tho I respect lee,s opinion. Appreciate that. I find this a tough one to get behind though. Going into the summer, there were a few forwards I feared us signing if Wilko went and Quigley was one of the...

Re: Joe Quigley

An abomination of a player. This will be up there with one of the worst signings we've ever made. Seen him play a few times and he's an absolute donkey. Supporters of other clubs are quite clear with what they think of him too.

Optimism firmly checked.

Re: Bad News

As much as I like Conor he's going to need to hit the ground running. Bonne had a reputation for working the back line for 90 minutes and I don't think Conor is that kind of player. He comes alive around the box when we have the ball, he prefers it into feet than chasing lost causes, he is not real...

Re: Bad News

Let's not pretend we all behind the Wilkinson signing in the first place. He signed at a time where Adeloye was hitting a patch of form and there were initially grumbles that he was a 'Taylor man' and would be thrust straight into the team regardless. Without him, we would have been very close to go...

Re: What do we want ?

Yes it was worth it If you don't strive to achieve what's the point I wouldn't change any of those years or memories. We were always over achieving and it would always likely bottom out Agreed. I loved the League 1 season. Despite not winning loads, we were very competitive and coming out of games ...

Re: Who would you like to see at Dagenham next season?

Ralston Gabriel has done pretty well at Boreham Wood since making the step up to National League. Knows where the goal is. I imagine Orient will let a few go. Someone like Alex Lawless might be worth a punt if we don't sign Loft. Knows this division inside out and could do a job despite his age. Bla...

Re: Daggers Thank You

I don't want this to come across the wrong way. It's just how I perceive things from the outside. Back when I started supporting the Daggers, the Supporters Club was a huge part of the club. Back then, social media and technology wasn't what it is now and they held a more prominent role. It used to ...

Should Peter Taylor be Daggers manager next season?

https://leewilsonfootball.blogspot.com/ I haven't written for a long time but had an urge to type out the thoughts swimming around in my head about Peter Taylor and the Daggers. I may keep this blog going intermittently if it goes down well but we'll see. Just something I fancied doing in my spare t...

Re: Barrow

I have nothing positive to say other than we are pretty much safe. I just hope scraping enough points is the only reason Taylor has been setting us up as he has for the past 2-3 months as it has been up there with the worst football I have ever had to watch from a Daggers side. What really upset me ...

Re: Next Season Squad

This talk of going up next season. We are absolutely nowhere near. The manager is not flexible enough with his tactics to give us a chance. I also don't think we are good enough player wise bar a few. The majority are good enough for a mid table side but not for a promotion chasing team where consis...

Re: Your line-up v Sutton?

In an ideal world, a team challenging at the right end in this league would not have Adeloye, Mullings, Kandi or Reynolds anywhere near the matchday squad. They all have big flaws in their games. They all have different strengths. I must say that from what I've seen of all 4, Mullings offers the lea...

Re: Gutless performance

I thought Loft had an off game today and unfortunately some of our mouthier supporters took exception to this and made him the 'agenda' for the day. He himself is not the problem. The problem is when you go away to Wrexham and play Loft and two other players with a very similar skill set in midfield...

Re: Taylor in Taylor Out

Must say, after listening to Taylor's post match interview, I'm more convinced now that Munns, McQueen and Smith were dropped for some reason other than tactical or performance in games. Reading between the lines, it sounded like a bit of a kick up the backside. Perhaps they've not trained as well a...

Re: Wrexham

What a rubbish line up. 5 at the back, which is fine, but then our 3 central players all effectively do the same job. You don't need Will Wright if Loft is playing. They do the same job in midfield and Loft will do it better. Also, if you are insistent on playing 3 CMs, you surely play Phipps ahead ...

Re: Aldershot

Just think sometimes the team selection isn't always clear - don't think Hoytey did much wrong whereas Nunn does seem to struggle positionally, and then on the left Gordon who's been our main outlet gets dropped so that Loft can play even after we kept a clean sheet with the 5-3-2 the week before. ...
