Re: Havant & Waterlooville
I appreciate it was another Stilly cliche, but it is probably time to wheel out his "never too high, never too low" quote here. Saturday we won 3-0 at home, and suddenly we are worldbeaters. Last night we lose 3-0 away and today the B&D Post headline is "Daggers endure disastrous...

Re: Maidenhead
I choose not to quote one of the above threads but will just say that I agree that player did not have one of his finest games. However he has had plenty of good performances over the season and does not deserve that sort of tripe. That actually probably disappointed me nearly as much as the late eq...

Just about recovered from hamstring would never be returned on a plastic pitch, Tuesday may be different

Re: Your line-up v Sutton?
Adeloye did well today that doesn't make him Alan Shearer but he did enough to warrant further game time if Balanta isn't over hamstring
I thought Loft put in a good shift today didn't always get it right but never hid and did prodigious amount of covering

Re: PETER TAYLOR
Well written piece, however... Apart from some strange team selections my main concern is his ambition, drive and motivation. I’m not doubting his knowledge and experience but there are too many managers around who go from club to club, do an average job but never achieve much. You can hardly be co...

Re: Taylor in Taylor Out
Apart from the fact that yesterday wasn't great but we still should never have lost the thing I don't get is why when the players are the ones who cross the white line is it the solely the Managers fault. I understand there is an element of motivation in management but if yesterday is perceived as '...

Re: Gutless performance
It wasn't gutless it was just poor and even then we should have got something from the game I thought Loft was pretty ordinary but the stick he got was very harsh for someone who didn't hide despite not doing great. What happened to get behind players As for the substitutions Munns could have no com...

Re: Average Attendances
If you take out the Orient game it reduces the average by approx 200 if you include that game as a normal figure it reduces it even less so.

Not a very interesting article at all just that reporter taking a chance to rehash the sort of stuff he was saying before we improved. Now a blip drag it back out.

Re: Taylor in Taylor Out
If you want me to guess then perhaps the thinking was planned set piece rather than randomly lump in to more bodies and does the goalie thing work much, no. In fact more likely a breakaway. You leave someone back so when it's hoofed out it can be collected and knocked back in rather than roll out and...

Re: Taylor in Taylor Out
The knee jerk I was referring to was the owners not coming in and chucking everything out as is often the case in takeovers and it rarely works. Yes of course any Manager can be questioned it just makes me laugh when we win he is great when we lose he isn't. Perhaps we were set up negatively due to ...

Re: Taylor in Taylor Out
It wouldn't matter if he had any list of contacts with no resources available to fund that early season. But that keeps being forgot. When money became available it was contacts that got in Wilkinson, Balanta, Onariase etc and contracts have been extended in at least part because those players have ...

Re: A long way to go...
It is about the configuarion of the gates and potential for segregation, not the bar. Our stewarding leaves a lot to be desired though. The match before Aldershot I entered the ground via the home supporter gate and at the stand I was randomly identified as an away supporter and directed to the far...

Re: Line-Up at The Stone
The referee totally bottled the Balanta incident. He booked the player for a cynical scything down after Balanta has left him yet ignored the similar attempt about ten yards earlier. He signalled play on for that and we all know had Balanta shot wide or kicked it out the referee would have gone back...
