.........Give AUNTIE MERGE the managers job.
No a couple of defeats and Auntie Merge will stay at home baking cakes.

Arnu is your man, just think we will at least be saved Kane Ferdinand.
Arnu would only do it on the proviso that any surplus budget is spent building a glorious roof over the bury road end.
We wouldn't be in all this bother right now had we put that roof on years ago. They wouldn't of changed the badge or anyfink either LOL!!
Bollix to Shampoo, it's real poo we want !

Not that bloke in charge of Trinidad and Tobago.

We need him to keep selecting Andre Bouchard to pass the ball sideays , backwards and slow everything down for them, as all the time he is doing it for them he cant for us.

Three wins all without Boucard a stat even you cant ignore Wayne.

If the Club was to sack the Manager, and I doubt they will as it will cost between £100k-150k to pay off WB, DC and WH, we have to be realistic as to who you would get.

Stevenage thought it was Xmas when Teddy signed, think they might have Westley back tomorrow.

With a limited wage budget, smallish salary, no company car, no relocation budget, a very small scouting network and back up team it's not the most enticing.

Having said that, you will get lots of CV's on your desk, it's just finding that right fit.

Di Canio, O Driscoll, Ince isn't it. Maybe the current Braintree Manager Danny Cowley would do a good job, and take on the challange.

But if it was down to me , I wouldn't sack Wayne and the current staff. Stick with it, will definitely improve as the season goes on, and I expect a 12th place finish.

I know I can no longer watch games, but still follow very closely, and are sure we will be okay

I absolutely would have given Danny Cowley a go in the summer !

Did a phenomenal job taking Concord from little more than a Sunday league outfit to a competing Conference South Club.

And he now also has Braintree Town up in 8th place in the Conference National. You look at their average attendances (approx 500) which I believe is 3rd or 4th bottom in the entire league and I bet your bottom dollar you don't hear him bemoaning & groaning about lack of funds / budgets!!

Anyone who says "but who can we get in instead" is either completely naive or just downright dumb.

I know Danny Cowley really well, he's my former teacher at school. He has a good job there which that and working at a part time club would bring him in more money than managing Daggers. He would never take the Dagenham job. I think he would do alright but he wouldn't be interested

I'm so glad he's appointed himself a spokesman to clarify that... may want to hear it from the man himself though!

I somehow think the lure of managing in the football league (if only for us) would be more appealing than you think

Loving the sarcasm there.

My point is, there are a number of players and managers capiable of being in the football league that are with part time non league clubs so that they can have a job as well as being involved in football. Dagenham and Redbridge alone will not pay what Danny Cowley is earning now, the fact that we lost 2 players to Boreham Wood proves just that. Also going into football league management is a big risk anyway, it surely wouldn't be worth taking. So I don't think my original post was unrealistic.

He is a teacher so about £40k a year and part time at Braintree so won't be getting much there, we could easily offer him an attractive package. If it does not work out for him then he could be back to being a teacher in no time.

Problem is we are still stuck with the current regime.

Your right on one thing Digger, this whole debate is hypothetical. Burnett isn't going anywhere.
