Apparently, the promotion push won't be next year from the Conference - it'll be the year after from Conf South

Arrrrrtghhhh.
A very poor team and we have not laid a glove on them all evening.
We lose to a penalty that Passley did the hard part by sheppering the player out the box and then gets turned.
Liam saves penalty and we stand back and watch.
A fortnight ago we hurried chased everything , tonight we looked tired and just had nothing about us .
Injury time before we even work their goalkeeper, JC in acres of space had time to bring it down and bury it but went for the overhead. That was an indication How bad that defence was tonight , you can't give a player like him that opportunity pity we had to wait 93 minutes to prove it.
We were as poor as we were good Saturday left home this morning with such high hopes and we don't show
up.
We needed a Billy Bingham tonight we got Bouchard !!!!!!

I thought we thoroughly deserved the win tonight , probably by 3 or 4.SUSSEX DAGGER wrote:Arrrrrtghhhh.

Ladabie seemed to disappear off the radar compared with the cup replay.
Our young reserve keeper had a very easy match just fielding poor efforts.

I saw two very poor teams my friend. We have shown over the last month we are far better then that , but we were simply not at the races .
No disputing you deserved to win because you looked more likely to score a second then we ever looked like scoring one. How on earth you allowed Cureton to be standing alone in the box without a player within 5 yards of him at the death , don't think even he realised it.
That could have cost you so much.
The fact there was only the one goal however should surely not surprise anybody .
A poorer game from start to finish . You won't be playing us every week and looking at your defence it just needed to be tested the fact we did not meant threw was no way back after the goal,
Well done the best team won without question but both teams need to do much much better then that otherwise they will both be facing both barrells

Only looking at highlights... But what on earth happened with the penalty? Terrible defending letting the man go who wad heading out of the penalty area with no threat and then completely turned Passley with almost no struggle.
Great save for the penalty and nothing Liam could do about the rebound.
Real shame JC want more alert late on with the chance as he could have taken five touches in that much space before being tackled! Real poor miss even if under pressure... This is often the line between a successful club and one like us

Every bloody game Sussex you say oh another rubbish team we should have beaten. Wake up pal all these teams are beating us what does that tell you about us? We're extremely fortunate that there are currently two teams at our level of crapness.SUSSEX DAGGER wrote:Arrrrrtghhhh.

A win Sunday could be bad news for Koko as a win will enable us to afford to release him of his duties.

Well I bloody well hope I am wrong because if Morecambe are no shakes then we are doomed, because as poor as they looked they were still better then us.
I have seen them 3 times in the last month so think I can justify my claim.
Myself and the other 25 who endured that 90 minutes just could not beleive we were watching the same team as Saturday We were that dreadful for most of it.
Out the twenty clubs we have played the only four who have have stood out to me are OXFORD, ACCRINGTON , Exeter and PORTSMOUTH, the rest have to me looked bang average and beatable , where that leaves us is worrying even I have to accept that but I know what I am watching and when it walks like a duck then it's a duck to me.We were beaten easily by a very poor team tonight and there is no escaping that fact and they had to do nothing to do it.

I wasn't at the Orient home game but I heard they were good. No?

Jim Bentley learned lessons after we were deservedly beaten in the cup replay. He left out all our skilful "pretty" players and changed his formation to include 3 big centre halves as he felt we lost out physically in the high wind a couple of weeks back and the weather forecast was for more of the same.
It certainly was no classic and after having a few thrashings with 4 goals conceded it was a huge game for us too. To have a clean sheet and be 15 points above the relegation zone and 5 points off the play-offs , it calmed a few nerves.
It looks to me like Yeovil and York for the drop , they are dire , so I expect us to be still playing Dagenham next season.

Looks like we were massively unlucky from the report on the official site - http://www.daggers.co.uk/news/article/m ... 30786.aspx
Cureton, Hemmings, Labadie all close to scoring first half. Connors hit the bar, and they don't even mention the one shot on target.
Maybe Sussex was watching a different game ;)

Oh Mike talk about making a seven course dinner out of a pan of boiling water.
The incidents were promising until they cross came over with nobody having a hope in hell of getting on the end of it .

Well done to all the fans who made the trip to Morecambe. A very disappointing result after Saturday's performance which was probably the best I have seen them play this season. I am not sure why WB made any unenforced or tactical changes to that team and especially so with the goalkeeper change? Sounds like O'Brien had a decent game last night though and is a good shot stopper but imo Cousins is a better all round goal keeper as the defence in particular needs to have consistency in selection.
The reaction (or complete lack) of our players after the penalty was saved is a joke. The man with the captains armband on wasn't even facing the goal.Lcbdagger wrote:Only looking at highlights...
