I've gone in there last 2 games and the view is so much better than the sieve to properly watch all the elements of a game of football.
Will I give up the sieve? Not on your nelly.
The TBS - Home fans
Each to their own but I prefer the view from the Sieve. Apart from not being able to see the corners, I prefer to be down the side of the pitch. I lose all sense of depth from the TBS because I'm so used to being on the side which is narrower in depth.Dagger Steve wrote:I've gone in there last 2 games and the view is so much better than the sieve to properly watch all the elements of a game of football.

There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
And it will always be cheaper to stand than sit. So I take it your correct pricing structure will involve financially destroying the club?ARNU wrote:Maybe because it was £2.50 to stand.Adrian wrote:What would the correct pricing structure be? It was £9.99 for an adult today and we still didn't half fill it with home supporters.ARNU wrote:Yes.
But you need free movement amongst the seats. Allocated seats is a no-no. Then with the correct pricing structure you could build up an atmosphere and we'd have our own end at last.1200 daggers in there making a noise,we'd win more games that's for sure.
Have to agree on this... while the theory of the stand and the atmosphere created there is is admirable... I wouldn't change from my standing ticket, especially given the price... neither, I believe would the people I either go with on a Saturday or see when i'm thereAdrian wrote:

Should the question then be
"Would you like the option to sit in the TBS for a nominal upgrade fee every home game from next season?"
Prices on the door for match days are another question completely. I personally think fans who turn up on the day may be put off by the £18/£23 prices for L2. But with attendances so poor, the club need to charge such prices. Should the club put a real effort into advertising and drawing in new fans, the prices could be re addressed

So....It is ridiculous that we don't have our own end.In my plans of having a home end I am not in any way saying that if you don't want to sit in it that you should ever have to move from your current position.I think I recognise some of the problems but they are all minimal and can all be overcome.I have been consistent in my criticism of the club for not making it our end from day 1.Unfortunately the club were not interested in letting us in there at all in the early days and came up with quite a bit of bollox to explain how it could never be possible. My campaign has come a long way, although there is more work to be done. How the club comes up with ideas to get around this problem is not my job however I and quite a few others others have suggested many and some have even been acted upon.
I said it before, the club never capitalised on this idea when we had 2500-3000 regularly attending in the lg1 days, the attendances have dropped quite a bit since then so 1st and foremost we need an exciting ambitious team to bring in the fans.
We also need someone at the top who has the foresight to see that ultimately I am right, again the little club syndrome gets in the way of progress and will always continue to do so with this lot running the place.

Bollix to Shampoo, it's real poo we want !
We've got our own end. Have done ever since the ground was permanently segregated. That a lot of people choose not to use it isn't anyone elses fault.ARNU wrote:So....It is ridiculous that we don't have our own end.In my plans of having a home end I am not in any way saying that if you don't want to sit in it that you should ever have to move from your current position.I think I recognise some of the problems but they are all minimal and can all be overcome.I have been consistent in my criticism of the club for not making it our end from day 1.Unfortunately the club were not interested in letting us in there at all in the early days and came up with quite a bit of bollox to explain how it could never be possible. My campaign has come a long way, although there is more work to be done. How the club comes up with ideas to get around this problem is not my job however I and quite a few others others have suggested many and some have even been acted upon.

How do you propose that home supporters have the TBS without anyone else being moved. Some other part of the ground would have to be given to away supporters, and if you haven't noticed they're all occupied by some supporters.
The reality is, and has always been, that our most of our home supporters don't want to use the TBS, so there is no point in changing it.
Of the times it's been available, it's rarely gone over half full and that is at discounted prices. On at least one occasion the club made less money through the bar than it did from fewer away supporters.
What you need is the ability to see that you're wrong.

No - the 'comfort' & camaraderie of the sieve is one of the most enjoyable things of a matchday.
"DO SOMETHING!!!!!"
"DO SOMETHING!!!!!"
Couldn't find a suitable percentage above 100 to show how much I agree... atmosphere recently has been bad enough with everyone bunched together in a standing area... would be a library in the seats... look at the p*ss taking reactions from some to the attempts to get songs going from there at the weekenddagger4eva wrote:No - the 'comfort' & camaraderie of the sieve is one of the most enjoyable things of a matchday.

Most of our supporters don't want to use the Bury Road end or any other stand nowadays preferring to stay away instead.Adrian wrote:We've got our own end. I wasn't wrong, the horse bolted 4 seasons ago and now I am probably more likely to agree with you than you'd give me credit for.Now that attendances have fallen and apathy and small club mentality have finally won the day.
