What a shame!

A pity that such a good first half to the season ended this way.

A tricky one from a contractual point of view, because Zavon is out of contract at the end of this season, and if he will not be back until the Autumn, what do the club do?

I thought I had read/heard that he had turned down our first approaches about a new contract, which if it is true, makes for an interesting decision for the club.

He may come to regret wanting to wait for other interested parties.

Mind you, we have been known to give a new contract to a player in a plaster cast in the not too distant past..

Depending on what we now do in the Summer he may not be retained anyway. Will leave space in our budget. May still train with us with a view to a future contract.

Suprised if Wayne puts his eggs straight in to this basket come June
