I see a couple of clubs have posted their season ticket prices :-

Sutton renewal 20 to 59 £119 ,new applicant £149, concessions £99 ,£20 teenager ,£10 for under 12s under fives free until 31st March
Boreham Wood http://www.borehamwoodfootballclub.co.u ... 2-2-2-2-2/
Eastleigh £120
If the club is still around how much are they going to charge us for next season ?

Sure it's been said before but unless the option due to finances is to go part time, I can't see how the ST prices go down drastically? Stay the same at best I would think... If we cut the prices and end up getting the same number of ST holders as this season (we're not suddenly getting 2000+ a week if prices are lowered) then we are losing money we can't afford to

I'm not sure many current ST holders would not be there next season if we know we are on a smaller budget and bring in young, exciting players and use the Youth squad more instead of focusing on highly paid players

It`s a guessing game with finances but they need to promote the club more through out the season not just now and again and yes I watched a few youth games and there are some good players that show a lot of promise,so maybe this is our way forward as you say.

If the club could find a Dwight Gayle,Jodie Jones on a regular basis who they could sell this could be used to finance the club/squad.

That was how the club financed it self for the past few seasons, also with sell on clauses in those deals, Gayle to Newcastle helped us out a fare bit, yet since Jones there hasn't been any star player that would be worth the money the club needs to finance itself.

I would see us selling a lot less season ticket next year and I think a move to part time is the only sensible way forward without significant investment.

I would like to think that those with differences could put that behind them and support the club the same fashion that they've always done. Personal situations aside of course.

Yet the club needs to do so much more commercially as discussed on here previously there is a lot more the club can do to promote it self.

£199 for a season ticket at any club is very good value. We can't afford to make them any cheaper and chances are that we would sell the same number of units for a lower price which would be an incredibly poor financial decision. We have a regular fan base of about 750 these days and maybe about the same who turn up every few games for various reasons. Those who have paid £199 for their season tickets this year would have no hesitation in paying the same again. We need to cut our cloth against those numbers and if that means going part time and staying in the national league for the foreseeable future then so be it. Relying on selling 'gems' to keep the club going is a very risky business and financially unsound.

Don't the club have a major problem here ?
Is anybody racing to renew ?
Unless youre willing to gamble your money, if the club folds you'd have lost it all.So untill the future of the club is guaranteed it'd probably not be wise to part with your money. Or am I not getting something ?

Spot on Arnu, I said similar on another thread. Timing of issue will be crucial and mostly on if investment is assured.
I might be controversial here and just an idea but what about no season tickets and a flat fee of £15 per game to include helping the club raise funds. Would the 600? Season ticket holders still come? Or a variation of that, maybe £50 upfront to receive a discount card for matchday tickets to be about £10 per game.
Just desperate ideas for a club in need.
Any other ideas? Anyone?

At the risk of MiketheDagger bidding me farewell rather condescendingly again ( I think I've been a pretty good supporter and st holder for about 9-10 years and have a fair few aways under my belt). I think the club have a number of issues that need addressing not least the financing of it.We're no longer in the football league anymore. For the foreseeable future mid or bottom of the confererence relegation battles will not create a rush to the turnstiles for any new supporters, and whether you like it or not will drive more of us away.
Apparently the lack of any atmosphere is a problem for many existing fans.( I like the quiet but I do recognise this is odd)
All this flag and the email shit and the Thompson stuff is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllyyyyyy tedious and I couldn't care a toss about any of it . Not taking sides here But it has really damaged the club and not added any excitement to the match day or supporting experience, I can't be the only one with this feeling. I actually missed a game recently cos I couldn't be arsed. Never done that before. A day out that even watching a losing Burnett side was far more fun than this, we were largely united together and behind the club than now, I'm completely indifferent to what's going on right now if I'm honest. I'll donate the ticket price but Tuesday I'm going out for a curry.

.

RampantDuke if other clubs can do theirs cheaper than us and keep going ticking over just shows you how our club over spends.

You were in the meeting on Thursday, did you not hear the stuff about pretty much everyone else having a sugar daddy? Sutton are building off the back of their FA Cup run last season, Borehamwood and Eastleigh have investors.

Somewhere (possibly Thursday) it has been said that season ticket income last season was somewhere around £120k last year priced as it was.

And your point is the club needs to attract more people what ever way they can and ticket prices is one way a lot of away supporters did not come to the ground because of our £21 entrance price that is where we lose out on.

Define "a lot of away supporters".

Ignoring concessions, reduce the headline gate price by £1 to £20 and we take in £100 less on an away following of 100 fans. This means we have to have 5 extra away fans to make the same income.

Are you saying away crouds would increase by over 5% if we reduced away prices by a quid?

Over 10% if we reduce by £2 to £19?

Over 15% if we reduce by £3 to £18?

etc, etc.

Oh and we have to reduce prices for home fans by the same amount.
