Let West ham season ticket holders in for a tenner. Did we do anything last night to encourage them to come back?

Don't be silly, as if our board are that forward thinking.

There was a 20% discount yesterday for anyone who bought a ticket on Wednesday night.

But the fact that hardly anyone knew about it probably means it wasn't marketed correctly. I only knew about it because I had to scroll to the bottom of my email confirmation ticket for Wednesday night. That's not the place you have enticing offers.

All start praying that Ollie Hawkins starts knocking then in or keeping them out at Portsmouth and a big bid comes in for him.

Shit his injured.

Dont know what happens with that sell on clause if worse comes to worse

That's absolutely bonkers, and goes to show that commercially, our club does no where near as much as it could be doing. The club has over 32k followers on twitter, a simple tweet and even if 1% of those followers act on it it'll be a plus.

Jodi was bound for a move until he got his season ending injury. Tough one to take for all involved.

If Fejiri continues his form, he'll no doubt get a move in the summer. The issue is he's also out of contract in the summer, does anyone know if we get anything via tribunal for the fact he's still a young player (like what we'd have had to pay Boreham Wood for Ferrier?)

Someone tweeted Darrah MacAnthony asking if there was an offer in place for current season ticket holders who refer someone wanting to purchase a season ticket for the first time.

He responded in under an hour, said he loved the idea and was "happy to give anybody who does this with 'new first time buyer' one game in directors box with lunch included at home in any game (bar play off one or cup one)"

An owner with a 'can do' attitude - I like it!

Just a thought but perhaps we could offer some kind of similar referral scheme for next season *** ........

*** assuming we still have a club of course.

I'm not an expert in company law but one thing the directors of any company have to be very careful about is trading whilst insolvent. If they knowingly do they can become personally liable for any debts that accrue once the point of insolvency is reached. So they may be very concerned about selling season tickets if they believe that insolvency will occur before next season and individuals who have purchased season tickets, who would be debtors of the insolvent company, may have grounds to sue the directors as individuals. Not the shareholders, by the way. I don't know but that may explain why we've heard nothing about season tickets. As someone else said on here it would never entirely surprise me to see someone come in and buy the assets (the lease on the ground) from the liquidator and form a new company.

The best way for me is to try organise as many home friendly with top sides explaining our situation.
As soon as season finishes get a friendly per week to hopefully help.
1 vs spurs arsenal & Chelsea would hopefully bring a 5 figure sum. Obviously world cup is here so won't get great sides but still big games.
but we finished 9th!

I have been thinking about what the club can do to entice more donors through the current system that is set up. Other individuals who use crowdfunding sometimes offer an incentive to people who donate. Such as for films that are crowd-funded, they will say that anyone who donates X amount will be put into a raffle to have a role in that film. With various potential rewards offered for different sums donated. The rewards, if possible, don’t even need to be related to the club, so it can be used to draw in donations from people who aren’t even interested in us. Just a thought- I’m no crowdfunding expert, but I do know that most successful non-charity crowdfunds will have something like this in operation.

Few examples- 1) If you donate x amount before the start of the season, you’ll be drawn for a refund on your season ticket/free season ticket next year.

2) for each round of home games, if you donate, for arguments sake, £2 you could win 2 free tickets for said game. Seems measly but if you could average 100 people doing this then that’s almost £5k across the season.

3) instead of bids for the memorabilia we sell on eBay, a donation of £X gets your name put into the hat once.

4) Donations to try and win your kids a mascot day, supporters club travel, free steel from A13 for life etc. If the appetitite can be found, then personally I think this could be a fairly steadfast way to continue to raise money without a massive cost to the club.

I think there definitely needs to be something coming back for many more people to think about donating. At the moment it is simply an emotional thing because we care about the club. If you look at the facts we are being asked to save someone's business for them.

We can’t be that skint, emailed the club on Thursday morning about boot sponsorship, still haven’t had a reply.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is it, not that it is holiday season and the club is running on a shoestring at the moment.

What email did you use? Thommo is away.

3 working days to reply to an email about sponsorship is too long regardless of excuses. As Kim is away he should have an out of office on on who to contact in his absence.
