Majority of people who say not renewing, are not saying they are not going to go just review/pay on the door on a game to game basis.

Typical moronic response Lupins.

What do you care anyway ? Do you get emotional as this when people take their custom from Tesco and take it to Lidl ?

Your happy signing up for what looks like a season of misery if they don't fold ( let's face it , it don't look good does it ?)and they'll take all your money with them. I'm not happy with that so I can come back when it's sorted out can't I ?

Just look at the evidence.
Manager, coaches and all the players gone or going, club begging us now to bail them out, Darren Currie don't want the job whys that ?
Meanwhile you want to commit to another season £250-£350 up front. Yeah great idea , fill ya boots.

The thing about being a supporter is that you support your club through thick and thin, even if at times it feels downright stupid. And even if you feel you might lose money. Hell, lost quite a few pounds over the years travelling to away games which were either postponed or a heavy defeat.
But personally, I can't see us folding.

I will be renewing. I would have renewed already but I've suddlenly had some extra expenses.

To put it in perspective, the one time I dithered about renewing was at the end of 2014-2015 before the start of 2015-2016, when Wayne Burnett was about to start his second full season as manager. During home games in 2015, I used to sit and type my shopping list and lists of chores, then leave straight after the game to act upon them. Most of the players didn't seem interested in playing for us and we were not a joy to watch. Sitting at home having afternoon tea with the family was far more entertaining than watching the Daggers.

Now whatever club we have left and whatever players are coming in, I hope they will play for the club and show far more passion and enthusiasm than we saw back then. Let's be honest, it can't be any worse.

That's fair enough Auntie Merge and though I don't necessarily agree in unconditional love for a football club I can at least respect that you didn't get all shitty with me for my point of view.

The perfect scenario for me is we get a buyer and serve up a decent day out , I was more than happy to attend and moan about Burnett. He had no money and largely did better than expected but everyone hated him. Wouldn't mind league 2 mediocrity living within our means now would we??

Where's John still ??

John Still left to save himself which is fair enough, anyone that believed the Mr Dagenham bullshit is very gullible. This is a man paid over £100,000 each year for the best part of 10 years and still jumped ship rather than taking a pay cut. Let’s not forget the absolute shambles he served up last season.

If you see yourself as a customer perhaps Football is not for you.

It was really just a bit tongue in cheek but if you really thought it was shitty then sorry and I will buy you a pint when you renew, go on you know you want to

No hard feelings I'm a nice bloke really.
There is a serious point here though.
If you are a grown up you don't have to be mugged off and you should have grown out of devoting your life and soul to a football club and dying for its badge ( which I quite like but others hate). The club I support has seemingly died. Thru no fault of mine. Everybody has jumped ship to secure their mortgage payments and so would you. The offer on the table is not a good one. Without investment ( and I'm not talking about being emotionally blackmailed to throw your money in a bucket) this club will never be what attracted me to it in the first place , and to be fair I'm surprised I ever stayed for conference football but we at least competed for the last 2 seasons. When I first started attending there was a good atmosphere and we didn't sing about pedophiles and Madelyn McCann. I can't remember us trying to lose people their jobs either. It was a refreshing break from running round green street and standing/ sitting with brainless morons at West Ham, a nicer environment altogether. Maybe DTD is right, I might go and watch bowls or something a bit less draining. I can watch shit football over the park for free or at the London stadium for considerably more.

The club hasn't died though it might

Yes we are in a bad place and I agree there are plenty of Muppets about though I suspect less so next season

I would even agree that it's not quite what it was and I think that started roundabout the time of the pitiful A4 protests. That gave some people the green light to really go for it and look where that got us

But the bottom line is you either want to support the team or you don't. I still do so have renewed

I'll wait and see what happens. The thread is about ST renewal not whether I still support Dagenham or not. ( nobody honestly thinks I don't do they ? ) Plenty of fans have packed up over the last few years or limited their attendance. Nothing new there. For all the bollix I've talked in this thread nobody has refuted the point that the offer is shite. You don't attract retain support with an offer like this one.

The managerial appointment is a massive one, get it right and those not renewing might actually do so.

For logistical reasons I've never bought a season ticket and this season will be no different.

However, I do plan once again to come to as many games as I can this season. If it's less than the finished season then it will only be due to a clash of events or financial reasons (the fuel/train ticket costs don't get easier).

Touch wood, I honestly don't believe the season itself will be as awful as some may expect. Best case I think we may finish like we did 17-18, just not enough for the playoffs, but I don't think we'll be relegated by March. Obviously I could be wrong and given we have a lot of question marks over playing and non-playing staff, opinions could change.

I actually understand Arnu's point of view and I can guarantee he's not the only one, but it's not the most common view.
Let's face it, if you subscribed to Sky Sports and then they stopped showing Premier League completely and replaced it with Greek second division stuff and then put their already crazy prices up - everyone would cancel.

Supporters of this club will all have some degree of emotional attachment, but some people's loyalty will go further than others, quite simply. Arnu is a supporter of this club clearly, however he's perhaps interested in a decent game and not just supporting the club alone. My personal opinion on that is above, I don't think we'll be as hapless as you may think.
Then again, I think I once saw Arnu mention on here that he doesn't like atmosphere at grounds?... so he could just be really weird

I personally think the season ticket price is fair and perhaps the mistake was making it so cheap last season - making this season look unduly inflated. Most of us here will understand why, but not everyone. Yes the ticket prices at better teams maybe cheaper, but just don't forget your binoculars.
