Today’s starting line...

Justham
Gordon
Davey
Pennell
Goodliffe
Wright
McQueen
Robinson
Kandi
Reynolds
Adeloye

Hard to say who’s playing where and what formation with that XI...

Not able to make the trip today either, so if anybody can shed any light who are at the game

Our 4th defeat this season & each loss has been by a solitary goal, not that it makes that much difference... a loss is a loss at the end of the day!

You are right though DtD... still yet to play anybody decent, not looking promising for us.
Hartlepool up next before Barnet & Salford :surprise:

Arrrrrghnnn . We do it again . Two defensive howlers cost us again.

First one the Full back falls over
Second and for the second week runnimg we leave the biggest bloke unmarked at a corner.

Times in that game when we were conpletely on top.

Lads are trying so hard ,thet deserve more then what they currently got

Sounds hopeful though. Fix the defence and we could get some points.
Quite painful to be 12 points behind at this early stage but trying not to panic just yet.
The bank holiday Monday game is going to be huge.

It's a disappointing start to the season, we certainly would have been hopeful of more than 1 point and likely deserve more.

However frankly the start to this season shows that you can beat more or less anyone on your day. Solihull have been written off several times before and during the season. Doesn't take a lot to turn it around and I remain hopeful we can.

I think the only concern I have is the defence. Teams that struggle but survive always are difficult to score against and we can't keep a clean sheet for toffee currently. I'm hopefully that Ben Nunn will go some way to resolving that. I am surprised though, I was (and still am) a fan of Davey before he joined and we've all seen that Pennell is capable plus Taylor clearly rates Goodliffe by throwing him straight back in. Hopefully they improve as games go by.

The effort we're seeing though is brilliant, as long as they keep that up then they will still be our Daggers irregardless of how we get on.

So fristrating Auntie Mrerge.

Certainly we are more then capable of going on a little run. Once again we were the better team in at least one third of that game . The defence is being shown up because there is a lack of quality up front to get you back into games., if that makea sense. Yes defence should not be conceading soft goals l8ke they are but for large part look solid.

Boys really made a top effort to get something out of this game yesterday and wasn't a boo to be heard from anyone of us at the end, but it still don't take away a few seconds of tightening up on set pieces and making a couple of flaws that cost us dearly that could easily have been our first win, let alone talking about a draw. In many stages yesterday we looked the guys at the other end of the table not the opposition, very frustrating coming home with another game with nothing, surely we have an inner base to develop a step further, rectify the faults and hit the go button, its gotta be on the cards!

Pretty much the same level of performance we've started the season with, but disappointingly overshadowed by two moments of idiocy and errors. Once again we started the game with our backs to the wall and their first goal was ridiculous, McQueen slipped giving Kosylo a free run at goal and Justham spilled the resulting effort which trickled underneath him. Second goal was equally comical as we seemingly thought that we could get away with allowing a free-header on the edge of our box. However, was a brilliant effort from the team and we at some points we really did have Halifax rattled, they were pinned in their own half for large spells. Adeloye was brilliant and in the latter stages we probably should've had a penalty when one of McQueen's brilliant deliveries was blocked by a hand. Ever so proud of the boys but this is happening too often to be simply bad luck, we really do need to start picking up points and there's no reason we can't at least have trebled our current tally come 5pm next Monday.

2 howlers from Justham already this season. He looks a lot more commanding of his box than he used to but still seems to misjudge the ball a lot.

Agreed. Every goal this season that we've conceded has been poor on either the part of the keeper or his defence. Admittedly Justham is a much more imposing presence but even when the most central strike comes at him, I'm never confident that he'll not either spill it to a rebounding striker or fumble it underneath him altogether. Watched him in the warm-up at Boreham Wood and around half of the shots fired at him were unsuccessfully dealt with. Hopefully he's still feeling the effects of a lengthly injury layoff and will only get better because, after all, he must've done something good to keep Cousins out of the team for almost the entire 16/17 season.
