Femi doesn't just look worse because we're passing the ball. He doesn't run down the wing because he is bereft of confidence, and his decisions are suffering due to this too. His first touch is worse possibly because he's waiting for the volley coming his way from the dugout.

If Wayne doesn't want us to cross the ball then I think he's wrong. Also Jack had 4 or 5 attempted crosses yesterday and all of them were dreadful. He's young and I like seeing us bring players through but even he is struggling in this side because the system is wrong.

Femi's first touch is and always been terrible nothing to do with getting verbal of he manager. Femi burst onto the scene 3 years back now but has been static ever since and has barely improved. Connors will be a much better player.

No one can disagree that we have been terrible at home the last 12 games but first 11 home game we was very good can't expect much more then we have got out of our first full season unde Wayne. None if these discussions would have happened had Murphy stayed fit, he links the team up superbly and we were lucky to keep him from Peterborough. Will be an interesting summer of ins and outs.

Bit off topic, but was d'ath booed by some in the sieve when he came on yesterday?

And well done to the lot who sang 'how shit must you be weve got a corner' only time I managed a smile during the match!

We weren't very good for the first 11 home games at all. There were 2 or 3 very good performances and some very average ones, with at least one poor one as well.

I think people have very right to expect more. It's not about the results it's about the performances, and they have new unejoyable more than they've been enjoyable.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the season, with an exciting Hines and goalscoring Murphy. Then I realised yesterday than I've only seen 2 wins in 2014, but I am still looking forward to next season!

Just listened to the Managers interview and he was asked for his view's after Saturdays game.

His reply " Disappointed that not more of our Supporters stayed behind after the game to applaud their Team, we have 57 points and are above teams we should not be, they are my thoughts".

Must admit it was a bit embarrassing, although I agree 110% with him when he went on to speak about Saturdays game and the season as a whole I just hope that not to many Bridges are burnt a case of least said soonest mended in relation to his opening salvo may have been a wiser option.

Think everyone was just fed up after Saturday's game, most people either went home or to the bar.

So the players can come out for the last two or three home gamesas if they are already on holiday but if fans leave early at the end of a woeful performance we get stick? Get your priorities in order Wayne... especially when you are going to tell all and sundry in the media that we have to fight for every game and anything less won't be tolerated!

I like Wayne, but I did think that comment was a bit cheeky tbh. Also I don't like the way he just sat down for near enough the whole game. If he looks like he can't be bothered, then the players have the same attitude.

Whatever he thought I don't think he needed to broadcast to all in an interview. He does seem to have a surly side to him at times. In my opinion if Wayne can call a winning team "pathetic" then I think taking a swipe at loyal fans is also "pathetic".

He should take note that our away support average has increased this season with some fans not missing a game and many missing only a few.
The club and management didn't voice their disapproval when players sloped off at End of Season presentation events that our hard working Supporters Club volunteers put on using Supporters Cub money.Fans spent their hard earned money for those events only to see the players in the main stay in the foyer until presentation time and then clear off.
This year knowing that the Supporters Club were not holding such an event then, for the fans, why did not the board step in and arrange something. They have missed out on Bar takings and entrance fees.

There have been a few instances in recent seasons where loyal fans, volunteers,Supporters Club committee members have been poorly treated and it was only a matter of time that the club suffered a backlash.

Very much this. Given that the interview appears to have been a while after the game, you'd have thought he'd have given it a little more thought and been a little more sensible with what he said. Taking pops at supporters isn't a good idea, especially when the club are trying to encourage more people to buy season tickets.

Even then some of the other comments don't really add up. He says that Connors hasn't played much - he's made 24 appearances in his debut season at 18/19. That's pretty good when you have someone else directly competing for his position. It doesn't really explain playing him on the left wing anyway.
I'm not too sure about the mention of injuries restricting options either. He chose to run with a small squad and then release several contracted players during the season. There is always that risk if you run with a small squad.

Well I was thoroughly fed up with Saturdays performance, but I did stay behind at the end and had a little run about on the pitch after. It was embarrassing that we who stayed were outnumbered by stewards and I'm not sure if Wayne could truly expect many in the heat of the moment to have stayed behind given that performance.Once again he's made a statement whilst still angry and it's backfired a bit.He should have thanked us lot that stayed rather than slating those that didn't.Got pics with the players again and congratulated Abs on his POTY award.

Im still Waynes greatest fan though,he's still building and learning and whilst it can be shit at times you gotta take your hat off(I've eaten mine) to the man and cut him a bit of slack.Losing Murphy and Zav wouldn't have helped matters and having no real credible replacements up front (C'mon Dickson clearly aint gonna score in a brothel is he and Norris has gone off the boil) and quite a young and small squad I think he's done exceptional.

Poor old Femi is clearly not happy and has not had a good season but if Connors display on Saturday (Wandered around like a lost kid in the 1st half and did no better than Femi 2nd) is anything to go by I'd urge WB to get in a new LB as a priority.Shields needs games but I think our expectation out weighs his actual ability by a mile.Looks busy but dosent get many crosses in and I cant remember seeing him feature in a game we've won.

In two minds on this one.

On one hand I too was thoroughly peed off with the shocking display our boys put in & couldn't get back in the bar quick enough.

On the other I can understand what prompted Wayne to make these comments.

Despite just how bad the last few games have been, we have been in the top half for pretty much the whole season. Had a few very flirtatious weeks with the playoffs and have been pretty much assured of safety for the last couple of months or so.

On that basis I think the players were perhaps deserving of more supporters staying back to give applause to a team that HAVE generally over achieved by everyones expectations at the start of this season.
And on reflection I guess I regret not hanging about now but what's done is done. Hindsight is wonderful though as there was probably nothing (at the time) that could've convinced me to get back out there.

Some good & interesting points regarding the players themselves in that they generally dont want to hang around for end of season do's etc.
I said myself a few weeks back that in the sponsors lounge after the Mansfield game the players couldnt have got themselves out of there quick enough the second the MOM presentation ended.
There would appear not to be the same connection between the current squad and the fans as there has been in previous years.
Most of the ex players always had time to be around the supporters after a match, some even used to socialise together. Now we generally have a load of players who all seem to believe their own hype and that they are above everyone else. If what i'm saying here is true then that could be another explanation for why people chose to slope off rather than stay and applaud.

Waffling now so will end it there.

The players mixing thing.......Look at it from their point of view.If you aint a gob on a stick (Like me) then being 17,18,19 even 20 and maybe a bit shy then having to mix with people twice your age,a lot of whom have been calling you a c*** from the touchlines and quite frankly have only the club in common with you,I think it would all be a bit daunting.I think I'd be out of there as quick as a flash too.Probably they go unpaid for those duties too.Characters like Robbo will always flourish in those situations but you have to be that type of character I think to enjoy those things. These are just kids really aint they ? I must say though, every daggers player we've ever asked has always been polite and happy to have photos done with my boy and even me.Big thanks again to Femi and Abs Saturday (again).

Well said 'that round thing'....

I think the manager, coaching staff, and the board should be ashamed of themselves, the way they talk and behave towards loyal supporters.

We will still be here long after the above have gone!
