Taylor should leave.....

I think it’s now time for PT to go, it’s getting way to much. Changing formation once again. Yes we played better but it’s still another game with no points.
Mullings done nothing yet again, can’t hold up the ball, don’t win any balls being played forward.
McQueen, hows the guy even starting? What is seen in him.
If nothing changes within the next 2 games then we will be done by February. It’s the worst I’ve seen Dagenham in many years. Far waste than when WB was in charge.
PT needs to walk now.

I genuinely don't know what people expect Mullings to be doing. When the ball is actually played towards him he brings it down and links the play. A lot of our first half attacks started this way but he was left isolated by the rather puzzling substitution. He wins some in the air but he isn't going to win everything when the defender is even taller than he is!

Good enough to play in a conference play off win at Wembley.

And PT is nearly a new record owner, most games Dagenham have lost in the league in a row is 6, PT is on 5..
Harrogate then Dover.

I'm not sure getting rid of the manager will suddenly make this lot into winners. The new owners who are totally absent need to give him some money to play with. Although ( as expected) it's been hard to watch we're not getting murdered. At least give the manager the tools to do the job.

I expected us to lose but it was no better than last week. Take the last 30 mins of the first half had it not been for Wrexham’s poor finishing they could have had 2-3 more. Problem is we’re in the national league playing some really shit teams not in the champions league playing he likes it Barcelona, regardless of resources we should be doing a lot better.

I expected a loss. I got a loss. I don't think that's a reason to sack the manager but it is a reason to give the manager some funds to replace a few of the footballers. We're asking a frail old lady to kick the shit out of Anthony Joshua here. I was quite outspoken pre season and I stand by my opinions, this was always going to be a miserable season but it's players rather than the manager here who aren't good enough. We've chosen to stick by a team that be honest , is usually pretty shite whatever league manager or players we've got. Go support Man City if you cant hack it. I must say although it is crap at least we got a bunch who are trying. That won't be enough to keep even the loyalist of us happy for too long either. For me this is for the board/ owners to address.

Agree: a new manager will not improve the current players. The squad was assembled with the budget we had. Everyone accepted it was going to be tough this season with that squad. People are expecting a cortina to win F1.

The question is what additional resources are going to be made available? If it’s only enough to pick up more of the same, we’ve had it. If we can get in some quality and experience we should be able to get out of this. If we don’t, we won’t. We need a beast of a centre half, wingers who can provide service, a left back and a goal scorer - that requires quite a bit of investment.

Extra resources were made available and we got Mullins. It’s been wasted, give him the sack and let someone else spend it.

How much resource do you think is spent on Mullings? Who would you have got for the same money? Do you think that the only area this squad is deficient in is a single centre forward?

I really wish it was as simple as 'Taylor should go' to solve our problem, but I’m not sure it is …. not yet at least!

As a few people have already pointed out, with the shoestring/non-existent budget available to Taylor/Harris – it was generally expected and therefore should be of little surprise to anyone that we have managed to assemble what is currently the 3rd worst (albeit enormous) squad of players in the division.

In terms of the squad itself, the worrying thing for me is that it all seems very one dimensional, one paced, not a single stand out performer / star throughout the 25 players. They are all a very similar kind of ‘meh’. No star in the making, no Peter Gain, no leaders.

In fact, after the game on Saturday, by the corner flag near the old club shop, one of the players who shall remain anonymous was called over by one of his friends. He was asked, mate what the hell’s going on. His response “mate, we need to some more men in this team”. I couldn’t have agreed with him more.

I first really started to worry about the Taylor/Harris partnership a couple of weeks back when watching the substitutes ‘warm up’ during HT against Ebbsfleet. It was literally one of the most hideous things I’d ever seen on a Football pitch, and thankfully managed to record a part of it and post to the Daggers Friends FB group. Things like that come from the top, and IF that is the best PT/TH can muster up, then we may as well all give up now.

IMO - going down to the National League South would be complete and utter disaster, particularly given we now have investors on board with some actual dosh. The trouble is, we are very nearly at a stage where only 1 or 2 teams are going to be catchable. Chesterfield and Maidstone in 19th & 20th respectively are thankfully just 5 clear of us. Next up is Maidenhead in 18th who already have a quite substantial 8 point gap. Unless form/results change ASAP we could be cut off without a single hope in hell of surviving before people have opened up a single window on their Advent Calendars.

I believe PT has been given the green light to sign the right players he feels are needed, and that we’ll be announcing something on that front soon. So that is 1 thing to potentially cling on to. At least we have a bit of relief with the FA Cup this weekend. Win that and get a cup run going and perhaps a few positive vibes may start to return.
Something has to give soon though, because going down, with a whimper cannot be considered as an option.

Pay me the £50k+ Taylor is on and I will tell you who we should be signing. We need a whole new team Bar Justham, Nunn, Gordon and Romain.
