Please note the Daggers’ Boxing day fixture against Leyton Orient at the Chigwell Construction Stadium kick off time has been re-scheduled from 3pm to 1pm

We may have had this discussion last year, but why is this?
I like to treat the family to a bit of Daggers hospitality for this game, but you find yourself sitting down for lunch at about 11-30 in the morning... on Boxing Day!
Think I might give that a miss this year

This happens every year and don't understand why they don't state the fact when the fixtures are produced in August. The only 3pm kick off in recent years was Braintree away two years ago.
No public transport means I will have to stop drinking much earlier on Christmas Day to be able to Drive.

It is a pretty standard kick off time for Boxing Day games in recent years TBH.

2011/12 v Barnet at home was 1pm
2012/13 v Southend at home was 1pm
2013/14 v Portsmouth away was 1pm
2014/15 v Stevenage at home was 2pm
2015/16 v Cambridge at home was 1pm
2016/17 v Braintree away was 3pm
2017/18 v Orient away was 1pm

I prefer early games Boxing Day personally, but its horses for courses I guess.

1pm is a pain in the arse. You don’t get the morning or afternoon at home with family.

you get both!

its a 1pm KO.

Leaving home at 12 means you have all of the AM at home with the kids.

game is all done by 3 leaving you the rest of the afternoon.

whats not to like?

Depends on your journey and if you have a vehicle to park. If I leave home an hour before kick off, I miss kick off on a normal game, let alone one with a decent crowd.

Does anyone know whether the other fixture against Orient, away on the 1st Jan is also liable to change?
