He comes with a ready made chant...

"Just Juan Luque that's all it took yeah just Juan Luque"

Jody Brown was manager of the Heybridge team which had a very good season including cup run, Luque was also part of his squad there is a common connection with this signing.

Personally hadn't heard of him though, but let's hope for some good things. I have no issue picking up the good players from teams below us as opposed to unwanted ones from above.

Peter B. Freund said: “We will continue spending this summer to strengthen our squad and look forward to Peter Taylor leading this club to the top of the table by giving him the resources he needs to make it happen!”

Not sure we will achieve that objective based on new signings / contract extensions to date!!

So by May 20 we resign our Captain, our player of the year, an apparently very promising keeper plus someone who would seem to have a bit of promise and that's not a good enough start for you
Get a grip

A fair few Lincoln fans were unhappy when he lift Sincil Bank. So he must have some real promise.

Think it’s harsh to say our signings so far have been a let down, but we do need to pick things up. Could be handy if we sign most of our players before Pre-Season starts so that Taylor doesn’t have to work out his best XI during the season!

Newport fans were surprised to see the back of Reynolds.
Gillingham fans were overjoyed to see the back of Wilkinson.

Players come to new clubs with a fresh start, it can always go either way and that's at every level.

Good potential but he's at the age now where potential needs to be delivered on consistently over a whole season. Let's hope he can do it. We need width and good delivery.
