O'Brien signs on a 2 year deal. Bit underwhelmed. Unless Seabright wanted to leave, I'm not sure how O'Brien qualifies as being better or having more potential than Jordan.

Can't disagree but then would explain why he left if he was told Lewington's replacement was a 22 year old with little experience. Could have seen him staying behind someone in his thirties with two hundred or more league games behind him.

Has it been confirmed anywhere that O'Brien is actually to be our number 1 next season? He might be the "new Seabright" i.e. a young keeper to develop as a number 2 behind an as-yet-signed experienced number 1

Nice post Sussex, hard to disagree with most of it! As for filling the departed players positions, I reckon we will have a few weeks wait for most of them to be occupied. Let's not panic just yet! :D

Exactly Steevooooo and even if he was going to be he appears to have played more games at this level then Chris Lewington and James Shea had between them the year they fought it out to replace Robbo.

Good news, means he'll be off to peterborough on a free at the end of the season if he does well though.

What about a 100K and 30% add on in January?

Good news BUT I'd prefer to have seen him sign for at least 2 years - to cover our arses when he inevitably does well & Fat Fry comes a sniffing!

Still young enough for a fee to be payable. So after all the hype he stays with us.
Surely we are not banking on him are we. Wish the lad well but come on lets start getting a bit realistic.

I dont think anyone is "banking" on him ... but a lot of similarities between what he has acheieved to date between him & Benson, Gayle etc., even CMS.

Gives me reason to be positive at least
