So, there is a bit of a tenuous link as to why I've posted this and it comes from watching Question Time right now after a bloke mentioned an article in the Kidderminster Shuttle.
So, that quite obviously (ha ha) took me to rememebering the goal Benno scored against Kidderminster some number of years back, almost from the corner flag. If memory serves me right it was in the conference in the Boston season.
Not sure if it is the absolute best goal ive ever seen live but it would definitely be up there.
So, a challenge - name your fav ever goal and if possible try find the link to a clip of it on Youtube.
I'll post the Benno goal if I can find it but no joy on my 1st search.
Go!!!
Best goal you've ever seen live

Think you are few years out there D4E. I think it was the Conf winning season. I was there so would go for Feb 2007, in a 4-1 win. If I remember we didn’t play to well that night and still won 4-1 ha ha
Favourite goal I would go with Sam Sloma at Oxford, March 07 or Robbo’s at Basingstoke, October 01 (I think).
Best either John Nurse at Crewe in August 09 (I think) or Anwars rocket against Aldershot around 2004 (think game was a Sunday for some reason but could be wrong).
Any help with YouTube clips appreciated, I am rubbish with that all that!!

Paul Cobb away at St Albans in Rymans, volley from out near corner flag. In fact, I think he’d scored an almost identical goal a week or so earlier, but this one was even better as St Albans were up there with us and had a certain Tony Roberts in goal.

For me it’s Romain Vincelot’s first goal for the club. V Burton in the playoff year. Wins the ball, takes a touch to set up and bang from what felt like the centre circle at the time but footage suggests a touch nearer.

Also a game with one of Montgomery’s last gasp winners, although not as good as this one against Hereford.

danny hill, 2002 at home against Stalybridge, an absolute rocket, more than 30 yards out.

Vincelot v Burton for me too, with the added significance of it being the first Daggers goal I ever saw in the first game I ever went to. I was seven years old and it was a special moment.
Hemmings v Portsmouth and Ferrier v Ebbsfleet are suggestions from a more recent period in our history.

Does anyone remember Dwight Gayle goal, against Bradford ?.
Cannot find a clip of it, but IIRC he ran from our own half, past about 6 of there players, and tucked it away.
Brilliant goal.
Shame we couldn't of kept him for the whole of that season, would of scored 25 League goals, easy.

"Starting over can be challenging, but also it can be a great opportunity to do things differently"
Or in Dagenhams case, Terribly!

Not Dagenham related but Nick Powell for Crewe in the playoff final of 2012 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pbCYAw6aEM
I remember that, didn't he score two that day? He also had some awesome pace too, I recall saying to my mate, he won't be here longDag82 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 1:58 pm Does anyone remember Dwight Gayle goal, against Bradford ?.

Here's a goal from our first year back at this level which isn't an extraordinary finish but is a great goal for the intricate sequence of passes involved. Cant recall too many better in that regard. Frankie Raymond v York in 2017:

Annie’s against Aldershot was a belter.
Taiwo scored a belted against Hereford I think it was as well.
Sure I saw Paul Cobb chip a keeper for around the penalty spot once and Danny Shipp scoring with an overhead kick against Southend in the ESC will always be a favourite of mine.
Another favourite was an own goal, that saw a defender chip his own keeper from the touch line in front of the Sieve.

For Dagenham, surprised no one has mentioned Ashley Hemmings’ ridiculous tight-angle volley to make it 4-4 in that game. Was right in front of me so maybe it makes more of an impact.
Non-Dagenham, the Barca match I went to Dani Alves scored a brilliant first time lob (0:25 ish here https://youtu.be/KsrcQi9V6VY), and I was actually present at a game where a Puskas-nominated goal was scored - Lucy Bronze here (2:00 - https://youtu.be/ysApCPrPdo8) for Lyon against Man City. So one of those two.
