Would be a great signing but I’m struggling to understand the substance behind this.
A player liking a tweet of a fan saying he wants us to sign him, probably just means he likes the fact that a fan wants him to play for their club. He’ll probably end up at Bolton looking at their ongoing raid of NL talent.

Thought Bolton could only sign free agents due to a transfer embargo. If we sign him it will show huge intent from the owners and is the kind of player we need to be top 5. Might be worth going for Wilkinson he don’t seem to be firing on all cylinders at Orient.

I think it was fuelled less by the tweets he liked (McCallum likes every tweet he's mentioned in, including those from Orient fans saying they hope he goes to them) but more because Peter Freund followed him on Twitter.
There are only two players Freund follows that don't play for Dagenham: Paul McCallum and Michail Antonio.

This is the most excited I've been about a signing in a long time.
25 goals in 18/19 for Eastleigh, 13 in 26 last season despite having quite an unsettled season. Can't wait to see him in a Dagenham shirt.

We’ve got our man! After much speculation it was confirmed this morning that Paul McCallum has signed for the Daggers on a 3 YEAR DEAL!
