The manager will never admit he has been getting it wrong, but we have been ridiculously vulnerable out wide this season and long periods of last too. Having a back 4 with wingers in front who can double up when needed is a much better shape for the players we have.

Morias works so hard he can nominally be a winger, I was worried it might nullify him but if anything it seems to have given him more time and space to cause damage.

Phipps as the other CB is an interesting choice, we've seen him do it once or twice and means his lack of pace and fitness isn't as exposed. He was dreaming for the 2nd goal but can forgive that after playing his first 90 in forever.

Sagaf has to be part of that midfield 3, on form he's the best of the whole bunch.

I'd still like another proper CB, a left back, and a defensive midfielder, but at least this is a step in the right direction.

From the turmoil of their previous game emerged a contrastingly exceptional performance of sustained quality and ferocious spirit in equally redemptive measure; every player acquitted themselves commendably but special praise for Junior Morias who made a seismic impact upon return from injury.
