It's been a while, but does anyone care any more?

Good draw, looking forward to it. Be nice if we can get 300 in again (even if it is just to see more goals from Goldberg)

Excellent draw!!!!

Unfortunately FMD I feel that Braintree will turn Barking over.......it all depends how seriously Colchester are taking the tournament as they are really struggling with injuries at the moment. Chelmsford in the final would suit me!!

Colchester fielded their U 21 team plus 3 from the 1st team squad recovering from injury in their tie at Great Wakering Rovers this week.

Guess they will field a similar lineup in future rounds of the ESC.

...and aside from your ridiculous post, we can compete in the London Senior is we so choose. I went as far as asking the FA last year.

All of the original four clubs certainly used to play in both the Essex Senior Cup (combined wins 26) and the London Senior Cup (combined wins 23), indeed several times won both in the same season. To be honest, with no real Reserve side, and a decent squad, it wouldn't be a bad idea to enter both again to give some extra "senior" competitive football to the bench warmers and better youth players.

Interesting that in the draw on the radio yesterday, the BBC Essex presenter pointedly didn't mention the Daggers in his intro, saying Southend were out but Colchester, Chelmsford City and Braintree were still in the hat, and the Essex FA guy supervising the draw made a point of mentioning that two Sky Bet Football League teams, Colchester United and Dagenham & Redbridge remained, in his spiel.

It is a BBC thing I think that we aren't seen as in Essex any more, which is budgetary more than anything else. It would be interesting to see what might happen if we "did a Bradford" in one of the cups.

So we should be in the LONDON Senior Cup (like the Daggers used to be) ? :D
