I just wanted to say that I abhor what happened to Jo Cox who'd apparently been running a surgery.

We can't comment too much on this because the matter is before the courts. My heart goes out to her family though, unreservedly; no matter what her political thoughts or beliefs, no one should die through political violence. This includes an apparently chirpy Labour MP going about her constituency work !!!

Whatever your political views or beliefs You MUST respect the opinions of other people because if you don't, ultimately it becomes the law of the jungle which may be all well and good and okay to turn a blind eye to while you or your side are dishing it out but not when becoming the victim of such senseless violence.

No, I would not have voted for her - but I respect the choice of the electorate and I certainly do feel that she has been unacceptably violently removed in a way I think totally unacceptable.

We argue. We voraciously extol our views but we have to respect each other. when a politician dies like this, no matter how mainstream or extreme they may be, a part of our democracy dies too.

Jo Cox - RIP
